I’m a firefighter nurse & my work booked a stay on my way thru to a fire & when i got there there were cops everywhere, bad part of town in the first place, than the guy comes after a few minutes from working on a car in the parking lot to attend to me. He asked for 100$ deposit from me, and I said I didn’t have pets and he said it’s for everyone and pets, I stated it doesn’t say that on the website and I want to cancel. He told me to contact Expedia and if they need ti contact him than he would be there since he knew it didn’t say it on there as I showed. Expedia has a number that hangs up on you so I had to go thru the chat, and he acknowledged my issue was correct and said he would contact the hotel to process my refund after being on the chat for an hour while a state away from where I need to be and trying to find a new hotel to stay at since this one was preying on customers for $. Now Expedia tells me they can’t get ahold of the hotel because that seems like something a hotel would would do, not have a phone? So they after 3 days would hey sent an email and I have sent an email, than had to dispute it thru my bank, and than today had to file a report against the hotel and Expedia afterwards. It’s been a nightmare process and I would not recommend these crooks or Expedia now for that matter they should know better.
