This is a motel and a very dirty one. Beware roaches and leaky rooms. Look under the bed at your own peril.

Never again.
Breakfast was late and unavailable to me. The first day the room was not made up or cleaned. Second day same. Reported to the desk clerk who argued saying you had to request it. No notice in the room. The front desk and check-out clerk today said they weren't required to clean rooms. The property is seriously run down. Rust is apparent at front of the air conditioner. The deadbolt did not work Called maintenance to fix the TV Bathroom was filthy. Desk clerk said the cleanliness was to the standard of Quality Inn Management. No night clerk to check people in so they put up no vacancy sign at night. The hotel was only partially full. The laundry room for guests had out-of-order signs on each one. Owner's Hummer was parked under the canopy so you couldn't pull in.

The room was dirty. It looks like they tried to renovate but it still looks old and run down. In the morning they don’t have many options for breakfast and run out quickly. The pool was not ready the entire 3 days we stayed here. Hopefully they can get it together.

So I am not one who usually leaves revies especially negative ones but I also rely on reviews to choose the hotels I stay at and if I had seen more like this I probably would have stayed somewhere else. First I chose this hotel so my neice would be able to swim and tire out. When we arrived we were told the pool was being painted so there was no swimming. Then when we walked in our room it seemed very dated and not very clean. The bathtub faucet dripped all night and the showerhead looked like it could fall off the wall at any time. Then the major issue was when we woke up at 430 we saw a roach in our room. We left right away after that. Not sure how breakfast was as we did not wait around to find out.

Clean and comfortable, but a few misses
This location is undergoing renovations. It’s clear that they are putting efforts into improvements. My room was nicely furnished and clean. I was disappointed that the hotel posting did not reference that the pool was undergoing renovations and not available. The hotel promoted a breakfast, but did not have any eggs (hard boiled or scrambled), which are fairly traditional fare for hotels. The staff indicated they were “out” of eggs at 6:45 a.m. (breakfast opened at 6:30 a.m.)

It is not a bad place to lay your head a take a shower. It is an old facility. It is very bit of a motel. But if you are on a budget and are attending events at Lakepoint it's less than a 10 minute ride. he staff is great.

The pics are misleading.
The property was a mess. They said they were Renovating, but it just looked run down to me. To pool was drained and the grass overgrown. I’m almost positive the pictures were done with some A.I. digital app. Bc it looked nothing like the pics. The actual room looked nice. However the Reno consisted of painting over cracks and holes. The shower was creepy. It was “cleaned” but was super dusty and smelled like mildew. Our pillows and clothes were actually damp, so I’m Assuming there was poor ventilation. The floor was so damp and sticky that we wore our shoes the whole time. The breakfast was extremely limited, but it was free.. so… It was ok for one night, but you get what you pay for. I will say the absolute ONLY positive outcome is the staff. They were very nice and helpful. At least they have good help working there.

Low budget comfort
Staff was friendly. Our room was clean. However there was a septic smell n the bathroom. Water in shower was hot and had good pressure. The beds and pillows was actually some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. AC worked well. Breakfast was simply but had what I wanted and plus it was free!!! TV was up to date and a decent size. Not a lavish hotel by no means but for the price it was worth it.
