Losing faith...
I am trying to convince myself its worth it to save a few bucks instead of staying at the BW down the road. I was put on the 3rd floor, facing the street, for 5 days. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even trains at all hours. When asked to be moved up a floor, and to a different side, I was told it is a $40 upgrade to do so. Turning on the shower, I got to see someone else's hairs float up and around the tub while the water got hot. I will be staying one more time this year (Dec 26-28), and if it isn't any better, it will be my last time.

Noisy. You can hear people talking in the corridor at 5AM and guests walking above our room. The building is old and was never upgraded. The bathroom door is hard to open and close.

The location showed it age even though the room was updated it still had issue with the shower tub and the bed was uncomfortable. There were constant intervals where trains were running nearby making it difficult to sleep. The bar was loud and very uninviting due to the music choice and the restaurant was not what would be expected especially with the very limited time frame. The staff was friendly and courteous.

Not what it appears to be.
At arrival (late night) the staff was not so friendly. Later discovered a pool of muddy water on the nightstand under the lamp and a pool of water on the floor. There was no place to store clothes or enough hangers. I reported all to the front desk and was given the business card for the maintenance department to talk it out with them (like I was an employee of the hotel). Several other things were evident related to the cleanliness and maintenance of the place.

The hallways smelled like old hotels often due, the rooms were nice, but the hallways looked worn and smelled. Also there was not enough parking in the front and my room was near the front. Never had a space there in 48 hours. Finally the reading light on my bed didn't work the other one did on the other bed, but should have been check before we arrived. Not a big enough deal to report but minorly annoying as I am a big reader and my son who grabbed the other bad went to sleep before me. However not big enough issue to call and wait for staff to replace buld or whatever was needed.

Not happy they charged us $25 to check in early when our room was already ready and it was only 2 hrs. It was very hot in our room and I complained they really didn’t fix it

Was highly disappointed that you charge $25.00 for an early check-in when the room was ready at the time. No offer to help bring luggage up. Having someone painting the exterior doorway with aerosol paint for hours was just awful. You could not sit in the lobby due to the fumes.
