The property had plenty of restaurants / bars. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Staff was very warm and friendly. the room was smallish (european style i guess). The only drawback i saw was parking. The hotel said "No parking". but said there was street parking etc. I wish they would make a deal with a local parking lot / garage where i could pay the hotel to park overnight.

If you love historical buildings the Hume Hotel and Spa is a must visit! Lovely wood detailing and a great gallery of historical pictures make the visitor feel like they are a part of the past but with modern conveniences your stay will be comfortable and relaxing.

This was my second time staying at the Hume. I love this historic property. Everything is so well preserved, even the historic elevator! The bathroom in my room was meticulously done with historic character. The breakfast at the restaurant was lovely, and the service exceptional. All staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again, hopefully soon!

Unbearable noise.
Woke up to an incredibly loud vibrating noise. Unfortunately this hotel is just old and can’t keep these noises out. If you want to enjoy your mornings or want to catch up on work pick somewhere else.

The Hume is an excellent hotel. I was disappointed that breakfast was not included due to my having booked through a third party. If your margins with third-party bookings make the complementary breakfast un-offerable, maybe you should consider cutting your ties with the booking app. I was travelling with two friends, and I'll tell you this was a pretty negative issue for all three of us. I would like to particularly commend all of your front desk staff; just excellent, period!
