Charming cottage
Lovely, well-appointed cottage, close to Castlewellan and Newcastle, yet charmingly rural, tucked away in the foothills of the Mournes.Kerry was a welcoming host whose attention to detail made our stay particularly comfortable. Highly recommended!

Peace and tranquility
We had a great stay at Kerry’s cottage, very peaceful. The track up to the cottage is bumpy and uneven but it is a farm track, your car gets extremely dirty especially if it’s wet. The cottage is a wee haven, well dressed and cosy. The hot tub is fab….we didn’t use the sauna but it’s there. There us also an outside seating area but we were there end of September and weather didn’t allow sitting out. Kerry leaves a welcome pack including milk and eggs and cake….you have her phone number so can contact if required….we had to as heating went off….fault with the hive heating but Kerry dealt with it quickly. Nothing appears too much bother.
Two very slight negatives which as there were only two of us for one of them, was ok but if there are more and you’re there for more than 1/2 days may be an issue. There’s no storage except a small hanging rail in bedrooms….no drawers for things like t shirts, jumpers etc. there are bedside tables for your small bits. Also no full length mirror to check your decent looking going out. There is one chest of drawers in long hall which did the two of us but not ideal if the place is at full occupancy.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer and dishwasher. The beds are very comfortable. There are two showers and two toilets. No bath if you want a bath….we didn’t so a shower was great.
Newcastle nearby has some good places to eat.
The Maghera Inn even closer is great to eat….the portions are all huge.
All in all a great stay.

Tranquil Cottage Setting with all the essentials and more!
A superb home from home. Kerry provided a starter food pack (milk, eggs, bread, tea, coffee) as well as fuel for the stove and outside fire pit. We arrived early and she showed us round the cottage and explained how to use the hot tub and sauna. Wifi is available so great tv/netflix/youtube etc. We could contact Kerry if we had any queries and she was very helpful. The back garden is enclosed so very safe for dogs unless you have an escape artist! We all had a great time here. Plenty to see and do.

Immaculate Property
Property is not only immaculate but more than adequate for dogs (enclosed area) combined with hot tub and sauna which can be appealing to teens. Great location
