4 km from sea: Town estate with pool

An old townhouse, tastefully renovated, with a swimming pool and a large private garden, located in the historic centre of the village of Castrignano del Capo (population approx. 3,000 people), a stone's throw from the central square. An oasis of calm, even if surrounded - outside the ancient walls of the property - by village life, the house offers a high level of comfort for up to 12 people. You will enjoy the precious design furnishings, in pleasant contrast with the traditionally renovated architecture of the buildings. Here you are just a few minutes' drive from Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme edge of Puglia, and you can reach both the Adriatic, with its jagged coasts, and the Ionian sea, with its long golden beaches, in less than 5km.
The house, entirely for your exclusive use, has five bedrooms, spread over three units, six bathrooms with shower as well as a large living area with two lounges and an eat-in kitchen. The furnishings, while respecting the spirit of what was once a simple town house, are unique pieces of design and aim to ensure a high level of comfort for guests. Each bedroom, each bathroom has its own unique style!
Of the bedrooms, four are doubles and one is fitted with two single beds. A sixth bedroom (communicating, but also with access from the outside) has a single sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, fridge with freezer, toaster, crockery, cutlery and everything you need to prepare your meals. But, given that this villa is also designed to be lived outdoors, an outdoor kitchen is a must, below the large pergola, for your al fresco meals or barbecues.
The house is almost entirely air-conditioned, has radiators for heating in winter and mosquito nets on the windows. It can be inhabited all year round. The fast and reliable WiFi connection is suitable for remote working (video calls etc.).
The large private and exclusive garden is furnished with deck chairs and sunbeds and has a large swimming pool (about 10x3.5m) open from April to the beginning of November. The pool has a shallow area, ideal if you have small children.
No private parking is available, but there are plenty of free public parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. The access area to the entrance courtyard of the property is shared with the neighbours; the interior of the house, the garden and the swimming pool are instead entirely exclusive and offer maximum privacy.
Given the house's central location in the old town, you can easily reach several restaurants, bars, bakeries, shops, etc. within a few minutes on foot. The closest sandy beaches are those in the Torre Vado and Pescoluse area (including the Maldives of Salento), about 10 minutes away by car; in Torre Vado or Santa Maria di Leuca you can rent a boat with or without a skipper to explore the coast and its sea caves.
Within 30-60 minutes by car you can reach the main tourist destinations of Salento, including Gallipoli, Otranto, Galatina and Lecce.

🛏️ Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €20 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided.

💰 We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €1000 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage.
⚡ Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,38 on 13/05/2024, when this text was last updated, but as prices are fluctuating a lot, your actual price per kWh will be communicated a few days before your arrival based on the current market price.
We decided not to include electricity costs in the rent in order to: a) keep our rental prices stable despite inflation and b) incentivate our guests to use electricity responsibly, helping us to reach our sustainability goals. Thank you for your understanding.
