"Lovely hotel in an ideal location in town! Appreciated that we could adjust the temperature to our liking. Only issue is - I wish the valet would have advised that the parking wpuld be charged to the card. I gave the valet the $20 parking fee in cash. So now we have paid twice"

Beautiful views of the bay,super easy five minute walk to the main street of Cold Spring Harbor, adorable house with everything you need, and Kim was on top of it every time we neededhelp. "We enjoyed our short stay at the cottage! The thoughtful amenities were appreciated (especially ALL your coffee needs except dairy, toiletries, filtered water ready in the fridge), and there were probably more we didn’t take advantage of…we were only there for 3 days and didn’t cook in the house but noticed the pantry was stocked with spices and cooking essentials. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The outdoor area was lovely and well maintained but we didn’t use it much because of mosquitoes. Do pay attention to the listing’s description about stairs both outside and inside the house…older or clumsy folks like us have to take them slowly, but the climb is worth it :) Our one suggestion for improvement would be to use shorter curtains for the window AC units…you can’t close the curtains without the AC unit sucking them in, and leaving the curtains open at night feels much less private. We will definitely stay again because the house was ideally located near our new favorite Italian restaurant, the harbor view and sunsets were great, and the house itself was a wonderful mix of cozy antique charm and modern amenities. "

"Situated just off the main street of Huntington, this comfy cottage is a terrific home base for exploring the north shore area. It has ample space: generous sitting room and kitchen with modern amenities, private office area, and 3 large bedrooms with lots of closet space. The beds are perfectly firm, pillows are plump and sheets are oh-so soft. The bathroom has some updates and delivers the basics such as nice shower pressure and new sink/vanity. Very clean and tidy, parts of the home still boast the charm of days gone by. All in all, you will be plenty comfortable here. Good to know: there is no outdoor patio area, so if you want to enjoy fresh air with your coffee or dinner, you can walk to downtown Huntington and visit the restaurants, cafes and unique coffee shops in this pedestrian friendly neighborhood.
