I had a terrific stay at Cypress Tree Motel. Each room had its own unique theme (I was In the Wild, Wild, West room), which was a fun twist. In the evening, the Motel hosted a bonfire for the guests, which provided a nice opportunity to meet some friendly faces. Additionally, the Motel is a short walk away from a public access point to the beach. I'll come back again!

Original little place
I've been lucky enough to travel up and down this coast many times over the last 25 years and I've seen Pismo, Avila, and the rest succumb to the gentrification process. Cayucos retains a little bit of the surf bum, hippy vibe and this hotel epitomises that ethos. It's not fancy. It's economical, friendly, and has all the things you need. If you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want to spend your cash on your daily activities and sleep in a homely environment, this place will do nicely.

Cute Motor Lodge in Cayucos
I stayed here for two nights in July and had a great stay. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. I paid about $100 a night and I felt like it was a good price for what the hotel is. I would happily stay here again! The only advice I have is there isn't a fan in the room, so if you're like me and enjoy air movement/noise while you sleep bring your own, but there's plenty of electric plugs to use. :)

Very clean, cute decorated rooms. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The owners are very friendly. The motel is walking distance to the grocery store, shops, dining and even the beach! I highly recommend this motel for your next stay.
