Great Place, Spacious and clean!
The property is nicely furnished, spacious and clean. It's in a great location, just minutes from a small town with restaurants and local shops. We were able to visit a few nearby lakes, local antique shops and home decor shops. It's definitely a nice getaway from the city! We'd definitely stay again!

I love how easy it was to book this property. They didn’t have crazy host fees like other cabins in the area. The home was clean and as expected if not even better than the pictures! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the communication from the host and easy booking process. We would gladly book here again!

Nightmare
When we arrived, the home was not cleaned. We spent five hours doing all the laundry, vacuuming, taking out the trash and doing the dishes. Also, we went to plug in a little heater in the downstairs bedroom, it surged and a flame came out of the socket, could have been fatal. The downstairs bathtub was clogged and we had to pull out a ton of hair from the bathtub. The toilet upstairs doesn't work. The smoke detector upstairs is ripped out of the ceiling. The towel rack upstairs in the bathroom is broken. The coffee maker is from the 1970’s and doesn’t work. Not a way we wanted to spend our Christmas. Horrible to spend money on a nightmare. The furniture is so outdated, so love or thought put into this home.

Blue Jay at Babbling Brook
The babbling brook and a sighting of a beautiful blue jay on the balcony were the best part of our two night stay. We needed a working coffee machine and instead had to problem-solve for filter papers not fitting the machine. We had brought fresh salmon and salad but the kitchen had no utensils for tossing and serving a salad nor any non-stick utensils for cooking. We had to change our fitted sheet and a pillowcase because they were stained the first night so it’s good there were extra clean sheets! Cleaning crew please remove blood-stained pillowcase and whatever was on the fitted queen sheet!! Too many throw pillows throughout. Broken lamps and lampshades all over the place which should just be removed as there are ceiling lights. This place would get a four star review from me if the kitchen was better equipped, sheets were pristine and there was less clutter!!! One table is simply unusable because there is so much of the owner’s stuff on it. My advice to the management company would be to convince the owners to throw anything broken away, including used candles and decorations. Also, dining swivel chairs were extremely uncomfortable and need to be replaced.
