One of three historic waterfront cottages off of 1st street in Cedar Key, Florida! This timeless Cedar Key home is now under new management.

This lovely cottage is located right on the gulf. It's the perfect place to stay and unwind with unbeatable water views. It boasts the convenience of being within walking distance to restaurants and shops on Dock Street and downtown. This two bedroom home can accommodate up to four people with a second bedroom just adjacent to the master bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and fully stocked to accommodate travelers who wish to cook.

Enjoy your coffee or afternoon cocktail watching birds on the water. There are multiple options for outdoor seating! Relax in the comfort of the screened in porch, outside on the swing or picnic table, or right next to the water in lounge chairs.

While walking is a great option, also consider renting golf carts or bikes and travel the island like a local!

A step back in history
The R & M cottage is absolutely adorable. Since it was built in the 1920s it's obviously been refurbished and is very comfortable and clean. The bed was great! The location couldn't be better for getting to restaurants and shops downtown. We loved reading about the history of the cottage and more history about Cedar Key as it is a fascinating one and the people there are so resilient.

Perfect Restorative Getaway
Just the perfect place to get a way for a couple of days to relax. View from screened in porch was phenomenal. Make sure to read the history of the family in the provided notebook…so interesting.

Weekend Getaway
This cottage in Cedar Key was clean, quaint and in a picturesque area of old Florida. We enjoyed walking to the downtown area for dinner. The home was comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. The scenery breathtaking. I recommend this home for a relaxing, lovely weekend getaway!

Very nice house, comfortable and a great location the view is terrific. Only issue is there were ants in the bathroom around the walk-in shower. Other than that, I'd stay there again and again. It also was not the first time we have stayed there. I would highly recommend this location for a nice stay in the lovely quiet town or Cedar Key.

Simply the best. We arrived after dark and the house was very easy to find and enter. Daylight and the Gulf at our back door! Sitting out we enjoyed various sea birds-fishermen and dolphins. A very friendly town. Each morning we walked to Prickly Palm. A delightful coffee + outpost. We’ve put it back on a future calendar.
