Would have liked to stay longer just to relax
My daughter from out of town and I, and her little dogs, stayed over Christmas Eve and Christmas night because I don't have space in my house. At the Vrbo house, we had much to unload before getting settled and both of us were exhausted from travel and/or Christmas prep, and from the next day which included our family Christmas at my house in IC, shared by my son the chef and his son, that daughter and I did not get to use all the offerings. In the basement, daughter used the washer and dryer but we didn't use the electronics (TV, computers) and couches, or the exercise room. An extra day with all of that would have been nice but we kept our reservation short. As for cooking, I made a cooked breakfast once and otherwise we ate food I'd brought along and leftovers from our Christmas meal. The toaster, dishes, microwave, stove, dishwasher, etc worked well. There was ample room and a nice table in the kitchen; heck, we could have had our Christmas there. The living room and bedrooms were sweet and welcoming, as were the Christmas decorations. Finally, the large fenced-in back yard was the highlight for the pups. I've never seen dogs having so much fun running and tumbling. These dogs, however, are pomapoos, and they might be smaller than the usual visiting pooches. Our problem occurred when the little ones, unbeknownst to us, found gaps under the fence in the SE corner of the yard, and connected to the gate very near the other spot. We were afraid briefly for the dogs' safety after they escaped. But we were able to catch them because we were with them outside, and daughter found some items (box; lid) to temporarily block the gaps. I think we forgot to put those items back in the garage and regret that. There is one other little negative that bothered me. I would have had no trouble bringing my own coffee or espresso for the mornings if only I'd known that the choices in the coffee drawer were decaf coffee or hazelnut caffeinated, which aren't for me. Regular coffee appeals to lots of people so I suggest either making that available or telling the visitors to bring coffee or espresso to use in the two small appliances in the coffee corner. Oh and here's a bit of extra stuff: there are toys for kids and warmer weather, outdoor chairs, and a fire pit that we couldn't use because we booked this property for only the two days we needed it; however, we recommend this place to others and for longer if they want to chill and enjoy.
