First: three steps down into the hotel without any handrail! So dangerous! Silly me, I was warned from other reviews about the noise; I never expected amplifiers just below our window for hours. When I asked about possibility of changing rooms, I was told all were taken. That I understand. AND that next time we should book directly with the hotel, not use Expedia. Breakfast was great, shower and bed were fine. Not a drawer in the place! Four nights with no place to put undies, socks, etc. We got instant coffee pkgs., others got Nespresso. 😳. Asked about bus fare: “ask at Information center!” Sarah, however, was great!

This is a great location, short walk to many attractions. Hotel has charm and character. We were able to spend a few nights in Room 105. We overlooked the little square and could sit and enjoy the music from the little balconies (3). Lots of activity, restaurants, bars and stores outside or within a few minutes walking. Just remember Porto has lots of hills.

Nicely renovated hotel and restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent location on a small plaza walking distance to river and historical center of Porto. Lots of construction going on near the hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful neighborhood for those who want to be in the heart of the action. Street performers (singers)were incredibly talented. Not for those looking for quiet nights, however. I would recommend this hotel for couples, and young-at-heart.

We enjoyed our accommodations and loved the location. Bed was super comfortable and full length windows opening to the street were fun until it was time to sleep. Closing the windows and shutters definitely helped with the noise, but the partying can go on well into the evening hours. If you need absolute quiet, ask for a quieter room. We’d definitely stay here again.

The location was ideal for getting to everything Porto has to offer. It’s on one of the busier streets but you don’t ever have to wade into the ocean of tourists because the corner location gives you options. The room itself was quite nice and we probably missed out on the fabulous breakfasts but there are too many options in that neighborhood to not try everything.
