The room was basic but expected for the price. Helpful staff and great breakfast. Ideal spot for walking tracks. A little way out of Chamonix but there is a handy bus service and within walking distance.

Property is very close to Flegere cable car. Would have been nice if the bar and restaurant were open. It was raining and there were no umbrellas. Had to walk around 8 to 10 minutes in the rain to the closest restaurant for dinner. The girl at the front desk said she could not serve me beer as she was alone but in front of me gave beer to at least 2 other guests. Was disappointed by her behaviour!

Stayed twice, will stay again.
Second time staying here. Excellent little hotel just outside Chamonix, quietly set near the river in the forest with great views of the Aiguille du Dru. Friendly, welcoming. Comfortable room, a triple which was effectively two rooms with lots of space. Nothing too grand but very comfortable and clean, with a balcony. The only challenge is the narrow stairs (no lift). Good buffet breakfast. And, they now serve dinner; interesting menu of good food, though a bit expensive maybe. Although not in town this hotel is very good and inexpensive for the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at L’Arveyron. It’s tucked into a beautiful forest that’s surrounded by the French alps. Accessible to city centre by bus or you can walk. The staff was very friendly and gave us free bus tickets. The rooms were quaint and had everything we needed. Restaurant was really good and the environment was just great overall. This chalet should be considering a 3 star not a 2 star. We will be returning on our next trip to Chamonix ! Thanks, Roukaya

Out of the way but lovely
This hotel is definitely a bit out of the way if you are visiting Chamonix but the complimentary bus stops on the road outside. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It has great access to some lovely walking routes. The rooms are simple but clean and serviced every day. Maybe check what room you’re in if you are a very light sleeper as the road and railway line are nearby.
