Trailside Chalet featuring Wrap Around Deck & Private Hot Tub just outside of 7 Springs Resort

This private chalet, located just 10 mins from 7 Springs Resort features 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, & over 1.5 acres of land. Amenities include a wrap around deck & hot tub! The open concept, great for larger groups, has big windows to showcase the surrounding wooded area. A new mud room has just been constructed at the main entrance for guests who part-take in outdoor activities. Appliances included w/ basic supplies: coffee, tea, etc. We hope you'll choose to experience this charming property!

We offer contactless entry via keypad door locks & code-operatd security panel.

Please be aware that this unit is situated within a residential are where noise travels. In order to not disturb our neighbors, we ask that all guests booking this property be courteous and aware of their volume throughout the entirety of their stay, particularly past 11PM.



Guests will have access to the entire property with the exception of the garage off of the basement, which acts as storage for the owner.

On the upper level you will find 3 bedrooms. The 1st bedroom to the left of the stairs has a full bed, sleeping 2, w/ drawer space built into the bed frame. The 2nd bedroom is a larger space which featuring a queen bed that sleeps 2. The 3rd & final bedroom on the top floor mirrors the 1st room on that floor, w/ a full-sized bed with the storage in the frame. All 3 bedrooms share one full bath at the top of the stairs to the right.

The main level holds the primary bedroom which features plenty of storage space, a TV, and a queen bed that to sleeps 2. A full bathroom just across the hall.

The ground floor's only bedroom features a twin bunk over a queen in addition to a stand-alone full bed, sleeping a grand total of 5 people. The bathroom is across the hall and features a shower.

The driveway can easily accommodate 4 vehicles, but additional parking is available further up past the unit to the right, where there isn't exactly designated parking, but plenty of flat space for parking if necessary.

DO NOT STAY HERE
This is the worst rental property we've ever booked. The exterior of the house is run down, the deck is splintering and is in dire need of TLC. The interior smells of mold and the carpets were damp and musty. Many blinds are broken and left hanging. Everything in the house is old - the towels have stains, the bedding is like cardboard. Every drawer in the house is full, so you can't even use storage space for your own belonging. The closets have personal items hanging in them. The kitchen has broken and dirty utensils in the drawers and everything is just thrown into cabinets. Expired products in the refrigerator and cabinets. There was a basket of trash - yes trash - sitting on the counter. The dishwasher had dirty dishes. The hot tub cover is broken. The lawn service showed up while we were there and when we contacted the owner to ask for that to be scheduled while we were away, the owner did nothing and the service provider came back the next day while we were there. After several failed attempts to find resolution, we were left to find out that the property management company who handles the direct messages on VRBO (who was nice and very responsive) doesn't have any say in what happens and the owner wouldn't respond directly. So not only did we have all of those issues, but the owner was not willing to work with us at all. Incredibly disappointing.

Absolutely wonderful time
Brought my wife and our 2 pups for my wife's birthday. Just had the best time and loved the cabin. Family room so warm and relaxing. Porch was especially suited for us as it had multiple gates and was completely enclosed for our curious pups. We thought the hot tub would be more of a gimmick we'd use once or twice but we were in it multiple times a day every single day. Our English Bulldog was especially unhappy with our time spent in the hot tub as he'd lay a few feet away pouting with the double lip curl(he's an attention hog). Explored the area but the most fun we'd have is getting back to the place to relax, jump in the hot tub and just unwind.

This chalet was very comfortable and I was impressed with all the extra amenities that were included, especially the variety of k-cups. Loved the hot tub and the foot massager. The only complaint was from a guest that stayed in the upstairs queen bedroom that said the mattress was too soft & bouncy and there seemed to be a crevice in the middle. Also, the guests in the basement bedroom mentioned it was really cold, but the heaters that were provided really helped with that.

Poor upkeep but nice location
We had several issues with the property during our stay. It was dirty when we first arrived to the point where the bottom of my daughters feet were gray from walking inside barefoot, the showers weren't draining, and there were bits of food on the ground. When we arrived, there wasn't any heat and it took days to get it fixed. Once that was fixed, however, the sewage backed up and flooded the basement. To their credit, the property manager was very responsive and offered a significant refund to us for both the heat going out and the sewage backing up. They also were exceptionally responsive to the issues we raised and had maintenance at the house right away and as often as needed. However, given the several significant issues, it was a more stressful and hassle-filled stay than we were looking for. Hopefully they can get more oversight on the work being done, from cleaning to fixes, to keep the property in better condition for the next guests.

Great Laurel Highlands Getaway
Central location to many state parks. Amenities as described. Plenty space to play fetch with dog . Four day stay made us crave to stay an explore the area more.
