The apartment was nice enough for a one week stay but the kitchen could use new pots and plates, etc. As the walls are thin you can hear every conversation going on. The floors are cleaned with a mop and water - no sweeping beforehand and no detergent used, we noticed. It’s 10 minutes to the beach on foot and 5 minutes to the bus stop.

Maria and Kosta are very friendly and helpful. Our 2nd floor apartment has great views over the town to the sea, and the sunsets from the bedroom balcony are fabulous. We’ve prepared a lot of meals here and dined on the terrace often, and got to enjoy some good oranges and lemons from the trees. We highly recommend Angela’s Apartments and hope to return in future.

The Angela was located in a lovely, private area yet was only a few minutes walk away from the town of Kate Daratso and its amenities. Maria and Costas are fabulous and the accommodation was pristine and very comfy! We highly recommend staying at the Angela!! Xx

Angela apartments were very comfortable and close to beach bars and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and very clean with facilities to cook if you chose too.ideal for families and couples I would highly recommend this as abase too stay if you are thinking of visiting Crete, Maria and her family were lovely and made you feel very welcome during our stay and often when returning to our room we found a tasty treat of cake and biscuits left for us to enjoy. We will be returning and would not hesitate to let our friends and family know of this little hidden gem

Slow and unreliable internet in apartment #2 except on balcony. Friendly owners. Nice little touches. Spacious living and big bedroom. Two balconies (main one overlooked carpark but second small nice balcony looking on to small garden). Concrete/tile floors mean can hear upstairs neighbors moving furniture most mornings very early (6:30 or 7:00). Some of the guestroom, balcony and bathroom pictures on Expedia appear to be for executive apartments (though not specified) only so check first if booking standard apartment!! Bathroom is bizarre 3 level design so shower water goes all around the toilet floor (even with shower curtains).. not hiegenic or convenient.... Basic cooking facilities but ok for simple meals. Short walk to several nice beaches (7mins to the closest one) and tourist shops/restaurants, etc). 45 min walk to old Town (or 10 mins by bus though buses sometimes not as frequent as advertised).

Modern Apartment
Good location for beaches and getting to Chania. Only 18km from the airport. Nice modern apartments. We had oranges and biscuits left outside our door for breakfast on the first morning which was a nice touch. There was not free bottled water and toiletries as advertised in the booking and the WiFi wasn’t very good at all. But overall very good and I would stay again.

Our host was fantastic! I emailed her at the last minute about how to get to her place. She not only got back with me right away but was able to send a taxi to pick me so I was sure it was a legit taxi service. If I'm ever able to make it to Crete again I will stay here.

Great modern room (exec sea view)
Great room with nice comfy beds.. very modern and enough bits n bobs in the kitchen area plus a microwave which was a godsend at times.. Wifi not great though.. great signal however took an age to download even a FB page if it did it at all.. been assured this will be resolved for next season. Overall a great stay.

We weren't there for long, and honestly, I wish hotels.com had a better cancellation policy. Once I found out how far it was from the airport, I would have switched locations, only because I was coming in late from another part of Crete and had to catch an early flight the next day. I would have been perfectly ok transferring my fee from one Hotel.com property to another, but Hotel.com doesn't seem capable of handling even simple things like that. The owners were very nice and there was a good restaurant just a couple of minutes down the road, but all in all, it was a long way from the airport and made my wakeup time even that much earlier. Hard to tell from the Hotel.com site just WHERE you are booking, and they are so inflexible on their cancellation policy and won't allow you to even transfer from one of their hotels to another.

You can't go wrong- stay here!
Angela apartments are very nice. We have a 1 year old baby and stayed in an executive apartment with a sea view. Baby bed/ pack-n-play was provided. Apartment was new and modern. Very quiet. Maria and her husband were so nice and fun- very down to earth and friendly, very accommodating and helpful. The place is close to several great beaches. Great coffee place and several eateries and grocery stores within 2-3 mins walk. Chania old town 10-15 mins drive away. Wonderful value. My friend stayed in the standard apartment. It was older but more spacious. Both were great. You can't go wrong with any of the apartments. Stay here!!

We stayed at the Angela in the off season. Maria was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only advice would be if you are booking with Hotels.com to contact them for better directions. We arrived at night and had a hard time locating the apartments. Fortunately, it is a small village and we stopped at a pizza delivery and they were able to give us directions.

Very clean,newly renovated,new furnishings,wifi, air conditioning,parking right outside your door. Family run, very friendly. Close to markets, restaurants, shopping,hairdresser, nail salon,etc Great beaches and even public bus near by. Agi Apostoli and Kato Daratso is a marvelous place to stay for a vacation by the sea for great prices!

Maria,her husand and her son George are beyond pleasant. Had the chance to stay at both sets of apartments, NO COMPLAINTS at all. Bus stop is a 1 min walk away, beach is a 10 min walk, close to many eateries. Read the person's review below that gives a good idea how to reach the apartments. Happy I booked here and would definitely return.

Maria & family wonderful people. Our stay this week was in the superior apartment a detached accomodation on the roof with 360 degree views fantastic, Great little sun trap, 10 min walk to beach and inka lidl supermarkets, accomodation in a small cul de sac so nice and quiet, could not ask for better, spotless clean, bottom of cul de sac few local shops,bus to Chania town centre costs 1.10 euro or taxi is 8 euro (15 min) 5**** THANK YOU MARIA

Home away from home
We stayed at the Angela Apartments in March of 2015 and had a wonderful time thanks to our warm and generous innkeeper Maria! Only a 10-minute drive from the Old Port at Chania (Xania) and with a fabulous view (especially from the 2nd floor apartments and roof deck), this is a great option for people who want to experience the real Greece and have an easy base to explore the mountains, Chania, or the Western part of Crete by car. We are a family of five with three children: 12, 6, and 2. Although we could have squeezed into one apartment, we opted for two and it worked out nicely. Everything is there for a traveling family: kitchenettes in the apartments fully equipped with a refrigerator, pans, dishes, and utensils. With a two-year old we didn't want to have to go out to restaurants at every meal so having access to a kitchen was fabulous for us. There is also an Inca Supermarket about five blocks away so that was also helpful . Also, the WiFi was excellent in both apartments. To find the Angela Apartments coming from the Old Port of Chania on PEO Kissamou Chanion, look for your first left after the Loca Café (red sign). Go up the hill (looks like a driveway immediately after the Swedish Market) and you will find a nice home away from home. There is no signage and Angela is a common name, so we would suggest getting the GPS coordinates in advance. We highly recommend Angela Apartments!

Geräumiges Appartement, in dem (fast) alles vorhanden ist, was man braucht. Wir hätten uns ein paar mehr grundlegende Dinge, wie ein Geschirrtuch oder einen Lappen gewünscht. Leider wurde die Zimmerreinigung etwas vernachlässigt (Boden nicht gewischt, Mülleimer nur 1x pro Woche geleert). Ansonsten war es jedoch sehr sauber. Die Vermieter empfingen uns freundlich, waren stets sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und sorgten für eine heimische Atmosphäre. Sehr gute Lage, innerhalb von max 15-20 min Fußweg sind 4 schöne, etwas ruhigere Strände zu erreichen. Mit dem Bus ist man in etwa 20 min in Platanias oder am Busbahnhof in Chania. Fazit: Wenn wir nochmal in Chania Urlaub machen, würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder Angela Apartments wählen!
