Check-in was difficult. We had a car and the valet space was not available and there was no valet to help us. We finally got parked on our own and into the entrance which is also their bar. The live music made it very difficult to hear the receptionist. She shrugged and agreed it was very loud but she made no suggestion to find a quieter location to check us in. It was very unpleasant. She gave us our room keys and sent us on our way. As we entered the elevator a man jumped in behind us and said he was the valet and he would take us to our room as we carried our own luggage. It was all very strange and not a good first impression. We were not informed until the third night of our stay the hotel offered a "finest hour" from 4 to 5 with a free cocktail and canapes. That was disappointing. The location of the hotel is great, the room was large and clean, but we thought it was overpriced for the experience. I want to give a shout out to the morning breakfast staff and the daily cleaning staff - they were awesome and the most friendly to us.
