The staff were very, very nice when we arrived and left. We booked thru a third party and we did not know that the hotel was under a major renovation. The room was pleasant but needed more cleaning. Hair on the shower walls-not something I wanted to see. Bathroom needed a lot of cleaning. Renovation or not the bathroom/room should be clean.

Not a good experience. Stepped in dog poop in the lobby. Homeless encampment next to it. Had to switch rooms because water came up through the sink when taking a shower and got all over floor and rug. Room 316. Definitely not a new issue. The room smelled terribly of mildew and paint was peeling in shower and bubbling on baseboards. They almost weren’t going to switch us until we were insistent. Tried to say there were no other rooms but then moved us to a suite which wasn’t much better. Small throw pillows on bed. Seems these types of hotels are using them now. The vanity area is very small. Breakfast was good. Pool was not open. I don’t think it was ever opened this year.

Even though it was a non smoking property, it smelled like cigarette smoke in the lobby and the halls, the perfect need to be carpet's definitely need to be cleaned and or replaced. Very humid and carpets were damp or wet.

As is obvious I booked through Expedia. They charged $100 for using a third party which “will be refunded after the room is inspected”. The room was in as good a shape when we left as it was when we got there except the dirty towels on the floor by the tub. They haven’t refunded my $100. I could have stayed in some Blue ribbon, 5Star, swanky place for the kind of money this room has cost me. So either never Comfort Inn and Suites or never Expedia again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I’m no fool.
