Marriott needs new management.
This is the second Fairfield Suites by Marriott weve stayed in the past month and both were a disappointment! I thought Marriott was a good hotel especially for the price we paid, but i guess we need to go to a cheaper hotel for better accommodations. The room was dirty and worn out.

Went for a concert and ended up being there during a very BUSY weekend with multiple events going on at the stadium and arena and around the downtown Charlotte area. We couldn’t have picked a better location to stay. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet considering the location to the arena and train station. The issue is parking. There isn’t any besides the parking garage and valet, but if you are not leaving in and out, just parking and leaving it parked, the right staff are helpful in navigating that.

Easy check in. Front desk area can get congested. Valets are great. Beeakfast isnt anything special infact its fair. Room only had decaf. Refrigerator didnt work. Had to be replaced. Otherwise the rooms. Beds are nice. Quite.clean

No more third party for me.
First off the hotel was beautiful and very nice. I booked through hotels.com and was told to pay at property. When we got to the hotel which was a hour before the event. Which is why we stayed so close due to timing. The front desk told me I didn’t have a reservation. I pulled out my phone and showed them all of my emails and confirmation. They told me that hotels.com ran my card and it was declined. I explained to them my card was declined because I missed placed and I locked it. Either way that doesn’t matter because my card shouldn’t have been ran until check in because my confirmation says pay at property. She proceeded to tell me that’s something they due when they have big events in town. She told me they only had one room available to due to cancellation and it was 150 dollars more to book. This was the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. I usually like to book with hotels.com but I won’t be doing this again.
