I didn’t expect the constant fire truck activity from the firehouse across the street. Maybe it was mentioned in the listing and I just missed it. The bar at the corner, as seen in the pictures, could be great, but on the nights I stayed, there was heavy traffic and groups of loud people hanging out in the street until all hours. It was a little tough to deal with, which is why I used the noise machine near the window upstairs.A secondary door lock would have been a nice addition for an extra layer of security. That front door lock was loose and could have been kicked in very easily. The coffee maker was a nice touch, but it DEFinitely needs to be descaled and thoroughly cleaned.LOCATION:For some reason, VRBO doesn’t show the actual location, so just to clarify, this property is Southeast of the Convention Center, about a 15-20 minute quick-paced walk.LAYOUT:The layout is a bit interesting. There are 20 steps from the first to the second floor. The bathroom is upstairs, which was a little inconvenient. The heat downstairs was nearly impossible to adjust without turning the upstairs into a sauna. Lastly, the shower water pressure was on the "barely" side.I didn't intend to degrade this property with a review, but I did reach out to the property manager with some concerns and never received a response.Overall, I’d still prefer staying here over any hotel. Nothing beats having your own space.Oh, and the couch was comfy. I passed out there a few times!
