Great hostel
Friendly staff and social environment. The hostel-provided dinners are homemade, delicious and cheap. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are great. There is always tea and coffee available for free, as well as baked goods for purchase. The pub crawl on Saturday was fun.

Great staff, good location.
The staff is great + the location is pretty spot on. I was in a six bed room -- one set of bunks + the rest were single beds. There were lockers with lots of outlets + individual night lights at each bed. WiFi was solid + the staff knew the area well enough to make recommendations. They also offered dinner each night for the guests for 5EUR -- it was a solid meal although nothing lavish.

One of the best
After a trip to London, I had tickets to go to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Bilbao and Milan and no hostel compares to this one if you only dig good vibes. They are currently restoring the place so every room will be okay (right now there are some "optical issues" but everything is great and the atmosphere is awesome

I loved the way the staff was acting like a family! You cannot get that in any other hostel in Europe and trust me I tried!!! If you're a cool backpacker they can feel it and they can make you feel like you've been long-time friends!

Only hostel option I could find
One of the worst hostel I have stayed in. My room was spacious, but no proper window that could be opened, strange smell in the room. Bed really uncomfortable. Communal area really old. Bikes aviailable to hire are terrible. Bathrooms kind of ok!? Staff was friendly, but the rooms couldn't be locked and there was no locked storage space! I would not stay here again!!!

Comfortable and friendly place!
The place was a little bit out of the main old city, but easy walking distance, only about 5-10 mins. Also really close to public transport and by the river. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, happy to have a chat and give you tips on where to go! Beds were comfy and clean, clean bathrooms too but no air conditioning. I was lucky it was a bit colder when I was there so didn't affect me but if it was hotter it would have been uncomfortable. Overall would go back and stay again and would recommend!

Great hotel and super location
My stay was great at the hotel/hostel. It is more like a hostel with a 7 bed dorm room not six as advertised. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Great professionalism. Bordeaux is a fabulous city.

Good stay
I stayed one night at hostel20. The people at the hostel were very friendly, the guy who did my check- in lent me a charger adapter (actually he gave me his own for his laptop- really appreciated his help). I was also given a map of the city and recommendation for a nice walk around. The location is very good, near the river and tram B- easy to get everywhere.

Good wi-fi, good location, nice neighbourhood. Everything was clean. I booked a bed in 4 bed mixed dorm but ended up in a 7 bed mixed dorm. My locker was functional but half broken so I felt a bit uncomfortable leaving my stuff there (they said they'd have a look at it). There is only one bathroom per floor which means a lot of queuing - people literally sit in the common area and wait. The kitchen is small and really basic. Common room as well. It gets really noisy once people start getting up and chatting in the common room. It's not about unusually loud folks, it's about isolation and open doors I guess. Also, they start tidying up the rooms and changing linen at 10 am which just adds up to the annoyance and... you just get up...

Convenient and Clean Hostel
Good location-3 mins walk from Chartrons Tram stop (B). Easy transport by bus or tram to get around Bordeaux.Very clean & well maintained .Slept very well. Vincenzo manages the place well-he ensures your stay is comfortable and gives good tips for travel in Bordeaux. Patrick & Vincenzo were very nice to not only allow me to leave my luggage after check out but to take a bath when I returned in the evening to collect my luggage. Bathtub in bathroom is great!

Little nice hostel
A little hostel, so everyone almost gets to meet everyone, if you like to meet people, it's a great place to be. There is no bunk beds, only single beds, so it does feel spacious for a hostel, which is rare. Near the waterfront, tug in a little street, but it does get a bit noisy during weekends if you are in a room facing the street. Patrick is a nice owner, who is happy to chat and give good suggestions. Vincenzo, who was a guest, and now working there, is a good guy to hang around with too. Thank you both for a great stay!

The hostel was in the process of renovation however was still very quiet. It's a lovely old stone building in a very quiet & authentic location. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The bathroom wasn't the best however & the kitchen is non existant.
