The Black-Eyed Susan - a PMI Scenic City Vacation Rental

The Black-Eyed Susan is a 3 story home located in historic St Elmo in Chattanooga. At the base of Lookout Mtn, it's just a short drive up the mountain to Rock City and Ruby Falls. If you really want to experience some amazing views, park at the base of the mountain and take the Incline Railway up to Point Park where you can experience majestic views and some of the Civil War history of Chattanooga. The Black-Eyed Susan has all the comforts of a hotel but with the privacy of your own place. The game room features a ping pong table with TV so you can enjoy some fun activities if the weather is not cooperating for you. Come enjoy Chattanooga with us at the Black-Eyed Susan - your home away from home!

PLEASE NOTE: Although we are DOG friendly, we do NOT allow cats. For dogs, we charge pet rent of $250 for the entirety of your stay (THIS WILL COME AS A SEPARATE CHARGE AFTER BOOKING AND IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR TRIP). It will be charged separately after booking is completed.

If you have not disclosed that you will be bringing a pet in the booking process, please let us know. Although we are a pet friendly home, due to allergy issues of future renters we request that pets not be allowed on furniture (particularly in the bed). We also prefer pets be crated if left alone. Please pick up after your furry family member!

Please be advised, for stays 30 days or longer, we require a "mid-stay" clean approximately every 15 - 20 days. The reduced cost of these clean(s) will be added together if applicable and calculated according to length of your stay - THIS ADDITIONAL COST IS NOT CALCULATED IN THE LISTING PRICE WHEN YOU INITIALLY BOOK and is due upon booking. It will be a separate charge after the booking is completed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. For this location, each clean will cost $105.

(For stays of 30 days or longer) A starting supply of consumable goods (paper towels, toilet paper, coffee) will be provided upon check-in. For extended stays, guests are responsible for purchasing consumable goods if they need more outside of what is initially provided.

PMI Scenic City requires a rental agreement for all of our properties. Must be 21 or older to rent this property.

Great location to attractions
The neighborhood is located in a great location for visiting local attractions, however its not a great neighborhood! The houses are very close together and the house looking directly across from the front porch is not a welcoming view. The outside appearance and inside apperance and space are great with the only exception being the carpeting (mostly in the downstairs master). Its obvious there have been dogs/animals or lots of spills. We also felt like the home had a constant sewage smell. Overall, a beauitful home and great location.

Cute and comfy home
Loved the location, although some homes in the neighborhood are run down. This home was so nicely renovated and had absolutely everything we needed and no clutter! Very clean and well thought out. Being a pet-friendly home, the grass was rather long, it would have been nice to make better use of the yard. Also, the bedrooms had carpet with quite a few stains, hard-surface floors would have been nicer. Overall, we loved our stay!

We LOVED our stay here. The home is so cute and has everything you need. The location is convenient to several really good restaurants and many attractions. We felt very safe and really enjoyed the brand new playground that was just a block away.

Great Vacay Home near Lookout Mountain Attractions
We enjoyed our stay at this property! Check in was super easy with great Communication with Ian. The house is warm and spacious tucked in the historic St. Elmo neighborhood. Loved the amenities of modern kitchen appliances, comfy bedroom furniture, and enclosed garage! Close short drive to area attractions (Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, and downtown St. Elmo). We enjoyed them near by St.Elmo park with a wonderful new kids playground. Great home for a family gathering.

Great Location!
The location and house were great! Only things that kept me from giving the rental a 5 star rating was that the beds needed a comforter on them or some kind of heavier blanket than what was provided (each room complained about this) and we couldn't figure out the fireplace, which would have been so nice to have had given the freezing temps! Otherwise, it was perfect location for us, playground was amazing, restaurants and groceries were nearby and easy to get to, house was nice and clean!

The property is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. The home was inviting and so clean. We all loved the decorations and the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms (LOVED the master bathroom). The kitchen was spacious and bright and flowed right into the open concept living space making it easy to enjoy our meal and entertainment. The garage was clean and spacious and had a mounted TV for games or workouts. The beds were clean and the mattress was very soft. However, the only thing I would note as a concern was that the surrounding houses are in dire need of revitalization / yard clean up. Which is no reflection of this property owner (as a few of the homes are undergoing construction). However, we were a bit shocked when we initially drove up to the property but, we never felt unsafe at anytime. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice home with great proximity to Lookout Mountain
We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was comfortable, clean and equipped with what we needed for the weekend, including washer and dryer. Communication with PMI Scenic City was fine as far as reservation, check in and check out. But, when we inquired after the lighting for the driveway where we were going in and out with our bikes, loading and unloading, we never received a response in the 2 nights and 2 days we were there. Thankfully it was not a more pressing issue?!

Our vacation rental in Chattanooga was very comfortable and I would highly recommend it. The property was well appointed with many comforts of home and the location was quite convenient to the downtown area. Many of the top area attractions were also very close by.

GREAT location!
Perfect family home to stay in for adventures in Chattanooga area. Super convenient to many hiking trails, off-the-beaten path adventures, touristy Ruby Falls and Rock City, as well as only about 20 minutes from city center and all that has to offer. Perfect house
This was our first vrbo experience, and we were pleasantly surprised with this house. It was spacious, extremely clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the towels were fresh, and the kitchenware was impressive. The location was great, and the neighborhood was quiet. The ping pong table and corn hole were a hit with the kids. Ian with PMI Scenic City responded immediately with any questions we had and was helpful and polite. We definitely want to stay here again!

Amazing Beautiful House.
Newly built and beautiful home. Very nicely done and beautifully designed. Everything was clean and lovely from the plush towels to the fully stocked kitchen and private garage. My family and I enjoyed our stay while we visited the Children’s Museum and Aquarium. The house was a great place to return to after a busy day. It is in an “up and coming” neighborhood so it was nice to have a garage to park in and unload. Would recommend this house! The property management was quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. :)
