Hope House is situated within a village with lakes, forests and countryside all around.
This house and its lovely gardens has been invested in substantially every year to provide excellent accommodation.

We invest every year in this lovely house and always listen to our guests suggestions to ensure that they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

New for 2024 --- New Pool and deck. Fibre Optic high spead broadband, new bedding, new large fridge freezer and lots more!

The house is well maintained and continually improved by a very experienced management team including a housekeeper and gardener. They are attentive to your requirements. The property is rated as being 5 star by our other partners and by some of our VRBO guests. We have installed comprehensive insolation especially for the comfort of our winter lets. We always take on board your comments!

Large and spacious lounge with sunlight flooding through the window overlooking the garden. Full of character with original features preserved such as the large open fireplace and Vendee 'Bullseye' window over the front door.

This lovely spacious village house has been sustantially improved for 2023.
It was built in Built in 1610 yet has all modern conveniences that you would expect from a great holiday experience. The house house bears the latin inscription, thought to be by Cicero, which translated means 'While I breathe I hope' - therefore called lovingly Hope House.

It is large, airy and has 3 bedrooms plus a self contained downstairs bedroom/sitting room adjacent to shower room and toilet fitted in 2020. Perfect for grandparents or seperate couples! The second bathroom is located upstairs and is fitted with a shower and toilet.

The rear gardens are attractive, planted with roses, clematis, herbs, lavender and honeysuckle. The gardens are private and not overlooked. There is a private patio and garden lights. There is a patio, two tables to seat 10 and BBQ plus an above ground pool.

Plenty of space of all the family and close by to the exciting theme park of Puy du Fou.

NOT a house for winter letting
The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. The first two nights stay the thermometer registered 8 degrees! The manager, Wendy Williams, promptly brought extra wood and elelctrical heaters. Unfortunately, the heaters tripped the electrical system constantly. The kitchen facilities are poor for the size of the accomodation; the fridge in particular is too small with broken door fittings. It is a great shame as the property has potentiel.
