How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Long Beach
Make your flight to Long Beach a little bit easier by reading over these clever security tips:

  • Have your boarding pass and travel ID somewhere accessible. They’ll be the first things you’ll be told to produce by airport security staff.
  • Coins, belts and power banks should be put in a tray for X-raying. If you pass through the body scanner with any of these items, you’ll be asked to turn back and remove them.
  • Laptops, digital cameras and other electronic devices must be placed in a bin to be X-rayed.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you’ll be asked to put all gels, liquids and creams in a separate tub for scanning. Make sure they’re all stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Think about your choice of footwear. Slippers are great because they’re super easy to take off when you’re doing the airport security checks. Try wearing some on your next flight!
  • Scissors and multi-tools are prohibited inside the plane. Put them in your checked luggage to avoid leaving them at the security checkpoint.
