How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Xiamen
Make your trip to Xiamen that little bit easier by reading over these practical security tips:

  • Airport security staff will expect to see your travel ID and boarding pass upon arrival. Have them in a convenient place, so they’re ready for inspection.
  • Belts, wallets and mobile phones should be put in a bin for X-raying. If you walk into the body scanner with these items, you’ll be turned around and requested to remove them.
  • All laptops must be removed from their protective cases and placed in a tray before X-raying.
  • Lip balm, toothpaste and other toiletry items in cream, liquid or gel form need to be stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They also need to fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear zip-lock bag.
  • The airport security will likely ask you to take off your shoes in preparation for entering the body scanner. Wear a pair that you can take off easily. There’s nothing more annoying than having to do up your laces over and over again.
  • Scissors and multi-tools are prohibited inside the plane. Tuck them away in your checked luggage to avoid losing them at the airport security checkpoint.
