Spader Bay Condo with Private Beach NOW with Boat Mooring

Spader Bay is a private, luxury location in Chelan. The Condominium Owners Association (COA) has strict rules in place for renters to preserve the property and ensure a peaceful stay for both owners and renters. Please review our house rules prior to sending your reservation request. Violators of COA rules may be asked to leave the property with no refund or may incur fines.

Studio Sleeps 4, All Kitchen Utensils Provided, BBQ, Pool, Hot Tub, Sandy Beaches, walkable to Downtown Shopping and Eating, many 1st Class Wineries, Winery Tours, Golf, Ski Resort Close By, Pizza Delivery, Putt-Putt Golf, Water Slides, Beautiful Scenery and drives all Around, One Parking Space at Unit, Air Conditioning, and Heating. We can not respond within the 24-hour deadline Saturday Evenings through Monday Evenings. The best time to email is Tuesday a.m. through Saturday p.m. For a quick response please call Charles' cell #: 206-948-0071.

Renters are allowed to bring one boat (less than 26'). note that all renters who bring boats must follow all boat parking rules and provide proof of insurance, boat licenses, and pay an additional $100 fee to Spader Bay staff upon arrival, with no charge for trailer parking.

When we arrived we weren't sent the for code, the condo was dirty and the toilet was by wiring right. There were firs burning and we wanted to watch local news for info but the tv didn't work. Charles was gracious and answered the phone but was not very helpful. I'll Ashley's go to lake Chelan but will not stay in this condo again.

Beautiful view and wonderful property. We brought our boat and had a wonderful time traveling around on the water, viewing all the sites. at some great restaurants, especially Sorrentos up on the Hillside. It was our 50th wedding anniversary. Would love to stay there again sometime.

Chelan never disappoints
We have stayed in Spader bay back to back years. Absolutely love the location and beach. Two things come to mind that could use improvement are: the unit needs a DEEP clean and beach debris removed at least 1-2 time in the week we were there. The unit has everything needed and more. The beach access and pool is fantastic for us and the kids. Jumping from pool to lake and breaks for food. Kids absolutely love this week in Chelan.

The best part about this rental is the location. Nice beach, pool, private and close to town. When we checked in the toilet handle was broken, manually flushed and it ended up flooding the bathroom floor. We had to use the very few towels there to clean it up. Thankfully I brought some from home that got us through. Then we were told by Charles to go to the hardware store in town and he would reimburse us for our time. We arrived Saturday, the hardware store did not open until Monday. Went to hardware store Monday got a part, wasn’t the correct handle, later had to return. We had to manually flush our whole trip a family of 4. Never was reimbursed or returned our text for the time we wasted on our short vacation. The BBQ described as “new” has a basketball sized grease ball and the bolt to the lid is missing and almost fell off when opening. There’s clothes and food left and had to empty the dishwasher when we arrived. The location was the only thing good about this rental.

Great location!
Great choice for couples or a small family. The location is excellent. There are some HOA rules to follow but don’t let that dissuade you. Close to downtown chelan and those amenities. Also 8 miles from Manson too. The condo community has a nice pool and hot tub. Found the residents to be friendly and helpful. If you have an EV, bring your 6-50 plug. There are 2 spots for charging. Bring your own inflatables since there’s private beach and dock access. Great sunsets and lake views to enjoy.

Absolutely great and convenient location! So much to do without having to travel far to do so. Beach and pool were only steps away. Kids had lots of fun and entertaining them was easy for us parents. Condo had all we needed for our little family. Would love to come back again.

A dream vacation on a lake
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for resting and cooking. WiFi, AC, refrigerator and everything else worked flawlessly. The parking slot is located on the same level, just a couple feet from the apartment entrance (no stairs). The apartment has a balcony with a breathtaking view on the lake. Both the lake and the pool are 1 minute walk away, so we spent most of our time in the water.

Your manager was the most unpleasant and non professional every
owner was great and property and location was great but if you want to be in a boot camp with the manager / drill sergeant please don't stay there not a good experience.

Great place and great location
We enjoyed our stay in this studio with a lovely view of the lake, a private beach, and conveniently located near town, although we spent pretty much all our time on the property either in the pool or lake. The property is very well maintained and quiet and the studio was well stocked with everything we needed. We would love to come back and stay again!

Disappointed overall
We migrate to Chelan for a week’s vacation annually for the last decade. This time we needed extra space, so we VRBO’ed- our first. Though I received an email that said it had our “keys”, it did not- and no other correspondence did. We arrived without a door code, and I messaged the owner, then called and left a voicemail, to no avail. Sadly, he did not respond until 1:30pm on Monday- our check-in time was 4pm Saturday. Apparently someone (Kelly?) didn’t send us the email with all the info, but I didn’t know that till Monday. If the property manager Samantha had not been so kind as to let us in and then use her manager code after 2 hours of non-response, we would’ve been stranded- or required to take turns missing our hard-earned vacation so we could get back into the condo. Most of the condo was nice- couldn’t really hear any neighbors, WiFi worked flawlessly for my daughter to get her college courses done, and the A/C was great- but there were crumbs in the sheets in the fold out couch bed. Obviously someone didn’t follow directions and strip the bed, but it would have been nice to not have been the ones to discover it. We also found a bonus opened ice cream container in the freezer. There were COVID restrictions not in the listing that we didn’t know about until arrival. Specifically, we could not use the mooring buoy (which was okay bc we had moorage with the City) but also we weren’t supposed to park the jet ski trailer up top either, which would have thrown another problem into the pile if Samantha had not made the exception based on all the other issues. We were not allowed guests- at all- which caused a lot of extra effort when it came to dinner with the family (we had some of our household in the City RV park and some in this condo). We weren’t throwing parties, we just wanted to eat dinner together as planned. I recognize that property restrictions are not individually applied, and not the owner’s responsibility, however the lack of communication about these was. I truly hate to write reviews that are anything less than stellar and typically won’t, but in this case we had HOURS of trying to get into the rental without any luck and after a long drive and temps in the mid-90’s, we were tired, hot, and frustrated. Definitely not the start to vacation we had hoped for.

A great vacation
The lake is beautiful, our condo was perfect for our family , nice sandy beach, pool and hot tub....we went water skiing every morning and enjoyed the pool and lake every afternoon.....Charles was very helpful....and his place has all the accomodations....the only problem was with the booking on the computer......it was a hassel.

I booked this for a provider of mine going to work for the hospital in the area, and she said the property grounds were absolutely stunning. She had her family come up for the weekend and they had a blast on the lake and raved about the scenery. Everyone was super helpful for check-in and the house was immaculate! Could not have been more pleased with the feedback I received from her!

We loved Spader Bay. It is a fabulous place to stay!
We loved how Spader Bay is so close to town. My kids loved the pool and the beach. There were so many fun things to do in town from the putt putt golf to the water slides. The condo has a great view of the lake.
