These apartments are newly converted from an old tailor shop on the High St. The interior is sympathetic to the age of the building, but with fresh decor and modern facilities; I'd quite happily live there. The central location, although really convenient for everything, brings with it street noise, as the property has retained its original sash windows - sleep disturbance is easily remedied by wearing earplugs to bed. Tea, coffee and milk were provided, as were chocolate biscuits, which was a nice touch, as was getting in contact with us by email prior to our stay. We were met by Caroline the first day; she was lovely and had lots of useful local knowledge, and she was on hand most days in case we needed anything. The only 'point' I'd make is the Hotels.com website lists this property as providing free parking, which it does not; they do provide recommendations on where to park, but it is not free. I did check other sites they are listed on after I'd booked and this seems to be a mistake with Hotels.com. All-in-all, Famous apartments are a beautiful centrally located property in a great city - we had a fabulous time and would very happily stay there again if we return to Cheltenham.
