The hotel was spacious and staff kind and thoughtful. My room was comfortable and clean, but there were several maintenance issues in my sister's room, such as a running toilet, noisy refrigerator, and other minor issues. Whatever was used to clean her bathtub made it impossibly slippery. Food was good, but the dining room a bit understaffed at breakfast. Overall a good stay, great staff, perhaps some attention needed to the rooms.

Love the Delta, but it needs a deep cleaning
Check in staff was very nice. The room was needs a deep cleaning, but not bad. My linen was clean, room was touched up, but didn't seem to be dusted or vacuumed.

Getting to Northfolk
Good except we were tired & just wanted to chill out- but the ear-bleeding fire alarms went off 20 minutes after we got settled in.. had to leave for an hour… then, fire alarms went off again.. had to leave again.. they blamed it on the humidity.. other than that it was a decent hotel

Overall I thought this was a pretty decent place to stay. The first room that we had was handicap accessible and it just had a shower. When I turn the water on it took about 5 minutes to get hot. Then the water was not draining. I went to get services and they moved me to another handicap accessible room which I asked them not to do but the room was okay. The only issues I had was that the faucet in the tub should be replaced. It is very loose. I also think that Guest Services should make the guest aware of how to log into the internet. I had to call the front desk to ask about that. I also called the front desk to ask for a regular size ironing board and the young lady said she would send someone up with an ironing board if they had one but if they did not she would call me back. I never got a call back. Also on the 5th floor there is an air vent in the hallway that blows out cold air so strong that you can feel it coming underneath the door into the room. I saw several rooms that actually had towels stuffed at the bottom of the door to keep the air out. That should probably be adjusted. So there is some room for improvement but overall it was a decent place to stay. I would stay there again but it probably will not be my first choice.

Disgrace to Marriott
Only decaffeinated was provided in the room. On requesting from the front desk, the lady was rude. The phone didnot work. It took at least 20 tries to get to front desk. Pet charges were not disclosed upfront. The vents were filthy! I have stayed at Marriotts before and love the chain. Really hope that Marriott reconsiders how to run this property and train staff to be polite to customers.

The hotel was accomodating and had what we needed, in- cluding a room with our dog. The staff was friendly and answered our questions. The grounds were beautiful and provided alot of space for walking our dog. The parking lot was spacious. The room was comfortable and quiet. A bar of soap on the sink would have been nice but we used the body soap in the shower instead. We would definitely return there again should we travel that way. :)

Bathroom very clean . However the water temperature for shower was either scalding or very cold. Was extremely hard getting water temperature in a normal range. Pillows for bed were not very comfortable. Room started out quiet but around 2am was awakened to a neighboring room with music blasting. After about 20 minutes had to call guest services who came and finally awakened the guest who turned it down some.

No Hot Water and very slow service
All was good except 2 things…there was no hot water for the shower in the morning and too late to call to have it fixed and 2nd, when I went down to the lobby for breakfast, the waitress seemed to be more concerned about her phone than to welcome me and take my order…after 10 mins of waiting she finally brought me a menu and then walked away not even asking for a drink order…I left without having breakfast.

The room seems outdated- we had stains on the sheets and pillows; the shower curtain had mildew and the shower rod was loose (safety). The other thing I noticed is the cap from the door to the floor is wide and you clearly hear people walking by or talking, I'm pretty sure anyone can hear us in the room talking. The restaurant food was very delicious, but bit over-priced for the portion. I ordered the lightly battered pork-chop, mashed potatoes with chefs veggie ( asparagus). I was bit disappointed with the size of the asparagus, very tiny. Excellent customer service from all staff members. This hotel was very convenient to where we wanted to go.
