The hotel feels very spacious and the rooms have everything you need.The receptionists were very helpful.Particulary a gentleman receptionist on 30.8.24 in the evening.We had arrived late and went out for a takeaway and wanted to asked for more tea bags but he was talking to a guest.He had overheard me talking and interupted his conversation to give me tea bags and milk.I was very impressed at his attentiveness.The bar was busy and buzzing to which provided a nice atmosphere.We also liked the gorgeous colourful pictures too.Parking is fine and its just off the motorway. I would definately recommend a stay here.

We, received a warm welcome upon arrival from the reception desk and throughout our stay. The woodland pod dining experience was lovely and made more so by Lucas who was very attentive and provided an excellent service throughout. The bar staff were lovely especially Lucas (again) but they did run out of stock on a few drinks (only 2 cocktails available, ran out of Pinot Grigio on the 2nd night and gin glasses on the 3rd). The rooms were clean as was the bathroom (bathroom a little tired). The only minus really was, the rooms were not very soundproof and we could hear voices and the TV from surrounding rooms at all times of night. An ask for the future would be that a twin bedded room could be available in the priviledge standard. All in all a fantastic location to stay for shopping, zoo etc and we would definately recommend it and stay ourselves again in the future.

I stayed for one night with my partner for a nearby wedding. Although staff were brilliant and friendly we encountered a couple of issues. Their was no toilet roll in the bathroom and only one towel for two people. Additionally, the shower was little more than a leak and was not sufficient to wash in. Although the staff were great allowing us to leave our bags in reception as we arrived before check in at 3pm and they were really friendly and helpful. However the hotel is quite tired and could do with a make over to bring the place back to life. Overall, staff great but facilities lacking

Friendly staff throughout. Average room size, clean and with all the amenities needed. Didn't have chance to use the pool/gym. Nice 30 min walk down canal into centre. Only negative is that it's looking a bit tired in places

We had a lovely welcome from all member of staff, including Reception, cleaners and breakfast staff. The room was very warm and we struggled to cool it down. All in all a pleasant stay, with the Park and Ride and transport links being very convenient.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and clean and the hotel had a nice spacious bar and breakfast area with a good choice of buffet style food. The spa however was quite run down; the door didn't shut properly for the sauna and it was quite dirty looking overall. 2 great little gyms though - although not all machines were in working order. There was also constant swimming lessons with instructors bellowing all the time which lessened the relaxing atmosphere of a spa weekend!

We stayed at the hotel this weekend for a wander around Chester from reading reviews about how close it was to the park and ride. The staff at check in were lovely, but when we got to our room we could hardly breathe from how warm it was in there. There was already a fan but it was hardly blowing any air out, so we asked for another one and our request was noted and told it would be in our room when we returned from Chester. When we arrived back quite late at night we found there was no extra fan and had to phone down to request one again. Our sleep for the 2 nights was completely non existent as the heat in the room kept us tossing and turning all night, there was absolutely no air coming from the fans. From leaning on one of the pipes it appeared that it was boiling hot! Which was making the room a sauna. Okay stay but won't be recommending this hotel to anyone.
