I'm not sure why there was negative reviews about this hotel. This hotel was great! It's close to Michigan avenue, it's got some restaurants and bars nearby, it's got a very good mix of old and new. We would stay here anytime.

We aren't sure why there was such negative reviews on those property. This property is awesome! There's restaurants, bars, and shopping all within walking distance. This hotel is very clean, modern, but holds onto some old-style feel. We recommend for sure!

Lacks ADA requirements. The door for the disabled doesn’t work, staff pointed it out as out of order so the handicap button is just for display. Their is a plumbing issue as well, the toilet runs so loudly hard to get uninterrupted sleep. This is without use, itll just run loudly for about a minite every few hours. Staff is not welcoming at all. They are busy on their phones. This is also a hotel that can benefit from digital keys and qrc only and have the front staff at the ground level taking bags to guest rooms while they go park the car. This is a very busy area and having to go all the way to the 9th floor doesnt make travel easy it actually casuing mire chaos and confusing this coupled with a staff that lack written and verbal skills

Great older building
Walls were a little scuffed. Elevator situation was confusing (i ended up on the service elevator once and the lobby is on the 9th floor) but not rediculous for an older building. A little loud. Lots of honking and sirons and something in the wall was clicking/banging. But location was great and older building with lots of charm.

Loved the location (close to theaters, city and Christmas market. The trains were easily assessable. The room looked good but way too cold and it did not seem to change when I used the thermostat . The grab bar in the shower wobbled…I recently had cervical surgery and it made me very nervous. No one came to clean the room until I asked one of the cleaners in the elevator why it had not been cleaned in 3 days. She had someone come and clean it. Wish I had her name to give complements.

We came to Chicago for a Broadway show and this hotel was right next to the Nederlander Theater - super convenient! We enjoyed our one night stay and will recommend staying here to others as well. The king room was spacious and nice. We had the breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Intermission, and we glad to find classic, simple, breakfast options we charged to our room. Hotel staff was always respectful and polite - lobby is on the 9th floor FYI but there was a security guard in the ground level so we felt safe.

Hotel was comfortable. Keyed elevator. Staff was helpful and kind. Popcorn shop next door makes elevator smell like caramel corn. Bar was comfortable and lounge area. Close walk for the Christmas market.

Came here from Washington DC for the weekend. The stay was smooth. The only thing that I didn’t like is that you have to request to have housekeeping come to the room. During our stay we didn’t get our room cleaned either night. This property communicates through text which is convenient. I asked if housekeeping can come up that morning while we were out and about and If maintenance can check out the sink it was draining slow. The sink was fixed but the room was not cleaned, trash was still in the trash cans, no clean towels, bed not made nothing. When I reached out via txt they states it has to be requested which I did at the same time asking for the sink to be fixed. They did come up and take out the trash and bring up towels but it was later in the night.

Great little hotel in the theater district. It was super convenient. The hotel was modern and clean. With that said they were also very understaffed. The wait at the bar was excessive at no fault of our bar tender. The front desk wasn’t any better staffed. Only one person checking people in and out. She was very friendly though.

The room is wonderful, super spacious( rare in downtown Chicago), super clean, floor instead of carpet in the room which is great, overall excellent place to stay! The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the rooms do not have a safe nor drawers to put your clothes in , if they would it wouls be perfect! Highly recommend this hotel!!
