Needs Some TLC, decent for the price/a short stay
The property is in a relatively quiet neighborhood, which was great, but the apartment itself needs some updates. "Chic" is a misnomer (it looks better in the pictures): -There's an odor in the apartment, couldn't put my finger on what it was but my family members noticed it too when they walked up the flights of stairs to help me with my bags-The kitchen cabinets had a significant amount of dust on them on the edges (I'm allergic and in general that's unhealthy for all)-The hardwood floor could have been cleaner (there was hair and other kinds of particles so I kept my socks on after I realized that issue)-The mattress is a bit thin, fyi-The bathroom mat (white) had stains on it-There were only towels available, no hand towels or wash clothes-The apartment has some general wear and tear that's easily fixable, such as at the bottom of the bathroom sink cabinet where the finish is peeling off-The hot water in the shower stays around lukewarm, so perhaps they can adjust that for the next guest-The heating unit, located in a closet, makes a lot of noise, making it hard to sleepIn general, I expected the apartment to be cleaner and live up to the chic vibe. I didn't feel cozy or fully comfortable in the unit because of the issues above. I paid extra for early check-in so the place could be clean by the time I arrived. Given my experience, perhaps a new cleaning service is needed.

Inexpensive stay but needs some TLC
The studio was mostly as expected for the low price but with some issues that can be addressed by the owner. Several lightbulbs were missing or not working. The toilet ran constantly and the bed squeaked everytime anyone moved on it. I didn’t receive checkin instructions until after my checkin time. It wasn’t a great experience but was sufficient for our group since we just slept there. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect stay for us!
I must say lovely, lovely place! Starting with wonderful communication from beginning to end. All my questions before choosing were fully answered and my extra needs were taken into consideration and taken care of. I was concerned about parking, since we would have a car. We didn't park right on the street of the building, but we had no problem parking on Broadway. Follow the signage and you'll be ok. Also download Park Chicago app and use to pay for parking. At the time we were there, from 6pm - 8am there is no parking charge. I believe there is also a lot at the other end of the street. Our place was small, exactly as advertised, yet exactly what we needed. Apartment has been updated. Heat is central and nice and warm, as it was cold out. Bed was comfortable. Living/dining area was tastefully decorated and inviting. Full kitchen with Brita pitcher full of water in the fridge. My daughter did homework at the desk in the bedroom, she was thankful for this. For us, it was near my other daughter's apartment, a great double plus. Lastly, my daughter left an item in the apartment and there was great care in helping us get it back. We will stay there again.
