The room was larger than expected. We were concerned it would be loud from outside traffic but it was very quiet. Only real issue was bar with food seemed to be open only at random times. Parking was convenient though expensive, as all of Chicago is.

Great location! Walking distance to the lake and historic sites!! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, housekeeping was not the best! Our room was only cleaned once during our 5 day stay and our beds and towels were changed 2x. The sink was slow to drain and it was not fixed right away after we called for service. We didn’t like having to pay for urban fees that we didn’t use except for the WiFi that should be free anyway! We didn’t go to the happy hour since we don’t drink and not used any of the other facilities.

Holly was EXCEPTIONAL and most of the rest of the staff were very friendly. Room facing the alley gets heinous 6am noise from trash collection and A/C should be turned off before sleeping as it’s crazy loud going on and off. The noise, though, is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars all through. Great property, location and service.

I had the "Do not disturb" up and staff still knocked to come in and disturbed my nap. That day I was inside avoiding the rain. The next day I was gone all day from breakfast to late and the room wasnt cleaned. Other than that it was a great stay.

Highly Recommend, perfect couple’s retreat
I chose to stay here due to the hotel’s proximity to Lincoln Park. I am so happy with the decision. We stayed from Thursday night to Saturday midday. The hotel was so helpful in getting us there via mass transit. I asked through the hotels.com chat system about how to get there from Midway airport. The directions were perfect. I also asked about luggage storage options because we would be at an event during the morning we were to check out. They did offer that service as well. The room was perfect for my partner and I. We were on the 12th floor and had a window in the room with a single King bed. There was a mini fridge and safe available. A coffee pot too but we did not use it. The hotel was in a great location. Close to the red line subway, nearby to the park, and plenty of restaurants, and stores nearby. We went by the walgreens on the corner to pick up things we left behind at home. A quick 3 minute walk. The hotel staff was so great to us the whole stay. The overnight receptionist we interacted with two times. The day receptionist, the bartenders at the bar in the first floor. They were all helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay “In Chicago” while not being right smack in the middle of downtown. The area around the hotel was beautiful. Dearborn street I believe, we walked back and forth to get to Lincoln Park. The homes and the atea are well maintained and quiet. A Lou Malnati’s was a short walk away too! (pizza!)

Great area but no windows!
Hotel is a great little boutique hotel. They offer free wine and snacks every evening. They don’t have the larger soaps, body wash, and lotions that I appreciate. Everything was pint sized so keep that in mind. The room was an okay size, but the very small window opened to a fire escape. I didn’t feel comfortable keeping the curtain open, so I lived in darkness as the lighting was very poor in the room. The hotel was affordable compared to other options. I had to travel for work at the last minute, and the chain hotels were absolutely outrageous. The neighborhood is very nice. It’s extremely walkable and near lots of high end stores and other shopping. Only a couple of miles of walking gets you to the Riverwalk and parks. I didn’t have to worry with a Lyft or Uber for the duration of my stay. I would def stay here again despite the issues faced. I felt safe and that’s more important than anything else.

Perfect location! Such a beautiful neighborhood, within walking distance from the lake and North Ave beach. Also only a 4 minute walk to the red line train. The room was just what we needed, and the beds were clean and comfy, but the bathroom floor was covered with dirt and hair. Still, would probably stay again for the location alone. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
