I loved their pool area, and the location is great because it is surrounded by food. It is near the shopping area too which is convenient and closeby to a train station.

Excellent downtown homebase
Very comfortable and convenient stay for a vacation in downtown Chicago. Great location. Accommodating staff. Rooftop pool is an excellent perk. Quick and convenient Starbucks coffee in the lobby, and a nice selection at the bar in the evening. Clean, comfortable, updated rooms that we are accustomed to with the Doubletree brand. We'll be back.

Liked that it's close to the riverfront and navy pier. The shower faucet was loose, sink faucet was dripping, the coffee machine was dusty as were all the items that came with it and they were missing kcups and cups to pour coffee in. For the prive we paid, we expected a more upkept room.

This hotel is perfect if you plan on parking and walking most of your trip! The hotel was very clean and the pool looked newly renovated and had plenty of space. One down side was the drainage in the bathroom……… The sink took forever to drain and the toilet took even longer to fully flush. The WORST part was the water filling up to my ankled while taking a shower!!! (it was a tub)

Cleaning lady loudly complained about cleaning
It was good until the last day when the cleaning lady loudly said "OMG" when entering our room for cleaning. We didn't break anything, didn't spoil any goods. There were some towels on the floor and some of the empty wrappers of the stuff we consumed during a 3 night stay. If the cleaning lady is not happy about cleaning she should find a more suitable job. As a guest, I did my part of the deal: paid for the service and didn't break anything. Your part of the deal is to make sure I can live peacefully on your property.
