Valet was extremely convenient and very helpful. Front deck personnel very pleasant and helpful aswell. The free breakfast was delicious, hot, and had a wide variety of items. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Things they cant change- Elevators too small and slow. Breakfast area is located on the 4th floor adjacent to the really small breakfast area. Room smelled like a pet had been in the room. The smell dissapated after the first day. I think hampton should eliminate the early checkin fee. They dont give you a discount if you check out at 8am. Bad policy

This is a perfectly fine Hotel - just not as fancy as we expected. All in all it is fine. If you want a fancy hotel this is not it. If you want a serviceable, clean, friendly etc. Hotel close to everything. This is it.

If you are big into having the AC blasting all the time, this hotel may not be for you. My room was always on 66 and it never felt like that. Maybe a warm 72 degrees? And sometimes the fan would change from high to auto when I’d be in the room still. Or when I’d come back. I like it ice cold to sleep in or take breaks from adventuring. The check in also was an issue. Whether it was their new system that they switched over and just were not trained (not their fault but still annoying) and I booked through hotels.com and the hotel couldn’t find my transaction if I had paid in full or not (which I did). Overall it was a great location. Free breakfast with the price but I opted to sleep in.

Valet service was a joke and made check-in ridiculous. When the valet finally showed up (after three calls from the front desk) he never asked me (the person standing right next to his podium) whether I needed my car parked. Finally, I gave up and went out to my car to look on SpotHero and go park the car myself. As I was working this out, the Valet knocked on my window and asked if I was a guest at the hotel and needed my car parked. I told him I am, but I’m considering parking it myself and saving $30 since he never acknowledged my existence. He apologized profusely and insisted on letting him take care of it. So, I did. Come to find out (by tracking our car), they park the car at the 30 W Monroe Building, which charges around $20/24hrs then charge the Hampton guests $65. Needless to say, we only did this the first night. The phone key never worked. Every time I asked, I was told the system was down. On one night, both our room keys stopped working. This meant, taking the elevator down to the first floor lobby and getting them reprogrammed. This wouldn’t be such a big deal in a modern building, but they have 2 tiny old and slow elevators. Every morning the elevators were so busy it would take 15-20 minutes to be able to even fit on one. The breakfast area is small and not enough to fit in 2-300 guests in the hours it’s open. Overall, the room was small but comfortable The hotel is old and in need of major upgrades. Service was subpar and valet was a joke.
