There was only one elevator working. There was a long line every time you had to go up or down which took at least 15 minutes each time. We tried using the stairs but each floor was locked so that was not an option neither.

I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop and had a terrible experience. My room was double booked, and a stranger entered while I was inside. This was incredibly unsettling and made me feel unsafe. To make matters worse, my room keys stopped working later, and when I went to the front desk, the staff was rude and dismissive, acting like it was no big deal that someone had just walked into my room.

Likes: walkable distance to the Field museum, Michigan Ave and Navy pier. Price was high but affordable compared to others in the area. It has a Hot tub and pool. Breakfast was included. The view from our room was pretty nice. Dislikes: while the front desk lady was nice, we were given no information at check in. The TV was a black screen with audio everytime we turned it on so we had to unplug and reset it to get the picture to come through. hot tub was VERY hot, and we are people who like a hot hot tub. Breakfast is only served till 9am on weekdays, there were no waffles or pancakes, and the sausages were a little hit or miss. Only valet parking available and at a very high nightly fee.

This hotel has fantastic staff. The cleaning staff do a really thorough job: the hotel rooms are spotless. Front desk staff are really friendly, helpful and work hard to make guests have a great experience. A special shout of for Dalisa who made our stay extra special with her kindness and helpfulness. Room had a lovely view of the city and lake. Facilities were great including pool and gym. Very secure luggage storage and main doors are locked at night. The only area for improvement would be the breakfast, which was ok but the use of plastic plates seems very wasteful. We would definitely return! Thank you!

Loved our stay here!
We had a corner suite on the 19th floor with a city view that was amazing. I loved the windows so, so much. Our room was very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was really good. My kids enjoyed the pool, as well. Great location, we were able to walk or take the L to all of the places we wanted to go while we were in Chicago. Many restaurants within 5 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel!
