The rooms are extremely spacious but they look and smell like a hospital. The energy in the room is borderline depressing because the lighting is insanely dim. They don’t have sufficient overhead lighting, just tiny lamps here and there. The hallway had a nasty smell and the floors looked rough. The parking is $30 but even if you pay, there is no guarantee that you will actually be able to use the parking lot because they sell more parking passes than actual spaces available. It is very possible that you could buy a pass and end up parking on the side of the street. All in all, I would never stay here again.

Great location if heading to a show at the United Center. Bad location if you don’t like bedbugs. I contacted the property about this issue and have heard back in days. The desk worker I spoke to implied that this was a known issue.

This hotel is a renovated hospital. The details of the bulding are beautiful. It was an easy Uber & walk to the United Center. Parking is super easy. Front desk staff were welcoming & professional. Cleaning staff always had a smile.

An iconic building now a first class hotel
What an amazing experience! Outstanding General Manager in Mr. Conteh, who went beyond the call of duty to make our stay pleasant. A family member with a chronic illness was quickly accommodated. In addition, she was quickly assisted after a minor accident The staff were all very pleasant and courteous. The rooms and public spaces were all outstanding Plus, as a retired physician, it was a special treat to stay in what used to be the legendary Cook County Hospital.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. The concierge was incredibly helpful and patient. The hotel common areas are very clean and the rooms we got were in great condition. I had a pleasant experience at the hotel bar. The continental breakfast was good. Nothing special but it hit the spot. I’ll definitely stay here the next time I visit Chicago.

Be aware of the sofa bed
We had a room for 6, two queens and a pull out sofa. The sofa only pulled out a twin and it was a very uncomfortable bed. Fortunately, the 6th person was a child so he was able to sleep on the chaise side of the sofa. Other than that it is a nice hotel and everyone was very helpful and kind.

Our stay was perfect! We wanted something close to the United Center, and this was just a very short drive over. It could also be walkable—we just didn’t due to the weather. The parking lot was conveniently located and easy to get in/out. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. We’d stay here again!

Quiet hotel in a non-residential area. Not to close to my final destination, but easy access for Uber and Lyft/taxis. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean but basic. Free breakfast was good. Overall, a solid but not exceptional hotel.

Good stay overall. Would certainly recommend. It's kinda quirky, cool, and unique because it was the old Cook County Hospital for 100 years (according to the front desk guy we asked). The parking was easy ($30/night), the breakfast was solid, and the beds were comfortable. The location was nice because you're out of the hustle & bustle of the city, but also just a 5-20 minute drive to anywhere downtown. Note: Bring your own lotion. Hyatt no longer provides that we learned.

Had ants all over the room floor when we came back from a night on the town. No good was left in the room but the ants took over. Not happy
