We arrived at the hotel early and we needed to drop off our luggage. Ronnie helped check in our bags. He was so friendly and helpful! He has a wonderful personality! The building is very beautiful. We stayed on the 10th floor. Our room was quite small but it was clean and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed to see that the window that is in the room was covered with privacy film. It was disappointing not to be able to see outside, regardless of the view, especially since the room was so small. It felt a little claustrophobic. I didn't see the lack of view anywhere when booking or I may have booked elsewhere. But overall, our stay was friendly, quiet, and comfortable. The area around the hotel is beautiful and it is right on the river.

Walkable area right beside the river walkway. Very busy area of the city so a bit louder until late hours, but loved staying in the River Hotel for a few nights.

There was only 1 elevator working, which caused us to have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get to and from our room on the 23rd floor. There was no soap at the sink or in the shower, so we had to use the shampoo. Yes, we could have called to have some brought, but we would have had to wait who knows how long for it to get to our room. The thing that bothered me the most though, was that I paid for a king sized bed, and what we got was two twin mattresses pushed together. More than likely won’t stay here again.

The staff was professional and incredibly gracious in all encounters. The location of the hotel was excellent. We completely loved our stay and will return when visiting the great city of Chicago again.

Had a negative experience due to employees fighting with customers and treating them very disrespectful in front of everyone except the Hispanic lady the slim one didn’t get name the rest of the employees look at us like if we didn’t belong there also elevator took almost an hour to get to the 12 floor and another hour trying to go up had to stairs the room was dirty hall and lots of marks on the walls vent was filthy and dirty room was hot AC didn’t work
