The front desk was very pleasant and answered all questions. Got to the room and the stereo was blaring, took us 20min to figure it out! The room could definitely use a make over. The bed was comfy. We had the private pool suite and it looked really nice but the water smelled like a fish tank, I don't think they have any chemicals in the pool. My husband pulled 2 hair balls out of the pools traps. I seen a housekeeper cart and they could use some better supplies! I work front desk and housekeeping at a hotel and I understand how things go. But for the money u get u should be able to upgrade!

I like that it was quite reserved and a bit hidden from lots of traffic. The customer service were pleasant. I did not like that half the lights were missing above my bed, my fireplace and tv were faulty and my food delivery was cancelled and still haven’t gotten my refund. I was very tempted to ask for some of my $ back bc for the price everything should have been top notch tbh. I will think twice before rebooking again this experience was not the same experience level as my last visit. I paid more money for less comfort this time.

This was the second time my wife and I visited the Champaign Lodge. First time 6 years we got engaged here. This year is our 5 year anniversary and we loved it just as much if not more. They upgraded us for free which was awesome. We went from a queen to a king which is a pretty significant upgrade. The only thing we didn't have compared to last time was the steam shower room. Seems they may have removed the streaming option but was still great

Unless it's a one-night fling, I would pass
The thermostat in the room didn't work half the times, you had a fiddle with it for the numbers to pop up so you can operate it. There was no cable in the room, thank God that I use streaming platforms. The bed was horrific, I actually spent most of my trip sleeping on the bench. The staff is wonderful but the clientele is sketchy at best. I couldn't enter or leave my room without wreaking of weed or cigarettes because that's all that would rent the room next to me.
