Ill start with the positive. If you are staying for an event at Wrigley the location was great. The surrounding neighborhood is nice and quiet with a safe feeling.
Upon entering the hotel youre hit with an overwhelming smell of dollar store air freshner. It's very pungent and is consistent all the way into the room. The hallway carpet gives a very warn and dirty look. Many little details are simply overlooked and not tended to. There were always garbage bags stacked at the end of the hall, after dinner staff were no where to be found and anyone could walk in.
The rooms are extremely dated. Our window was six feet from an apartment window, there were no curtain sheers so to let any light in you were totally exposed to your neighbor or remain in dingy lighting. The wallpaper was peeling in several spots, the light switch in the bathroom was filthy (and likely not to code), our toilet was broke the first night and my husband fixed it, the lampshade is even on upside down. I paid a premium because of an event and i wanted convenience. Id recommend staying on the mile and taking a ride in next time.
