Room was not too bad. Definitely dated but nonetheless clean. Though was able to help on our early check-in request, reception staff came across as inhospitable. Not the end of the world but does leave a sour impression at the beginning of one's vacation.

Great location, safe and easy walking to shops, dining etc. Beautiful old hotel, good staff. Only complaint was elevator needed a cleaning and our bathroom could use an update on painting etc. Bed was super comfy and nice linens. One other thing, the restaurant Kirei had good food but a cranky staff (maybe he was just having a bad day?) We'd come back because we loved it here.

The hotel is a bit dated, but adds to the charm and uniqueness of the hotel. Fresh linens and bedding make for a restful and relaxing stay. Polite and professional staff made the check in and check out process seamless. Wasn’t happy with the restaurant located in the hotel, but the property is centrally located near other eateries.
