Wonderful

We booked this as a one-night last minute break and it was such a pleasant surprise! The food was excellent, Great Tew is an absolute delight - especially in early summer when all the flowers are out - and the staff were brilliant. It’s quite noisy both in terms of creaky floorboards (it’s just the age of the building- nothing to be done for that!) and the fact that the rooms are above the pub but that didn’t bother us one bit! Definitely recommend!

Nice staff but restricted en suite
Staff very friendly and nice breakfast but unfortunately the en-suite was so small and restricted. I had to keep the door open for space to bend down and wash my face. The shower was not a power one and you could not control the temperature that was either cold or scorching hot. It’s a squeeze to sit on the toilet. I am a tall person but very slim so I wonder how a larger size person would cope.
The staff were extremely welcoming, and the room - though small - was really well appointed. We had a really good night’s sleep. The beer was excellent, and the food was very good. I would recommend staying here.
There was absolutely nothing i did not like about my stay. It was in a gorgeous little village where locals and tourists visit.
Everything was exactly what it said on the tin.
As a solo traveller felt very safe and welcomed especially Tom.
All staff were really friendly and that goes a long way with me.

The hotel is a classic old building, full of character but with all the attendant accessibility issues that could affect some guests. The bathrooms are very small and we seldom had hot water before 8am. On the positive side, the staff were fantastic and the food excellent. And what a beautiful location. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit
The Falkland Arms is a gorgeous little pub in a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast and dinner here and it was really good. This is a great place to stay for a Cotswolds getaway with lovely walks. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Off main roads in quiet village fantastic olde worlde traditional village pub with roaring log fires lovely individual rooms great food and drink. Really friendly staff ideal if you are walking, dog friendly too. Great selection of drinks and food. Good value great home cooked breakfast if you’re staying over. Look forward to going back
Check in was so easy. The pub is a centuries old building and has all the charm that anyone could expect from such a place. The staff were all excellent, the room very cleverly modern fitted in an old building.
Loved everything about the place. Food and drink were all excellent and nothing too much for the staff. Really enjoyed our stay and made our Anniversary very memorable for all the right reasons.
Will be back in the cooler months to experience the roaring fire and roast dinners!!
The Falkland Arms is a beautiful building in a lovely setting. The village of Great Tew is quiet and charming. The pub has a good mix of local people and visitors.
We were delighted with the lovely room, friendly staff and extremely good food. The breakfast was really excellent and although the bar menu is brief, we saw this as a good sign. We ate in the pub on both evenings and had plenty of choice.
We would like to mention the landlord/manager who is friendly but also clearly gives a lot of leadership to the staff team. Really good to see a pub run with professionalism and warmth.
