Charming authentic 19th century winegrower's house, typical and carefully restored - with a historic historic "Mâconnaise gallery" covered revisited in a pleasant sheltered terrace - nestled in peace on the edge of a peaceful lane, in the heart of a picturesque a small wine-growing village in the upper Mâcon, a stone's throw from the first vineyards & the countryside (to discover during relaxing walks, on foot, by mountain bike or by bike!). Almost entirely built on Gallo-Roman foundations, Chissey-lès-Mâcon has the very rare feature of housing two elegant Romanesque churches classified from the 11th & 12th centuries (remarkable heritage wealth), one of which stands in front of the gîte, and enjoys a beautifully preserved landscaped setting, nestled on the wooded foothills of the southern Burgundy massif in the heart of the Clun countryside, in the hollow of a plateau of bucolic meadows, groves & vineyard slopes, surrounded by several wild forests (vast forests state-owned). Spacious gîte with good comfort. Warm country character punctuated with contemporary touches, enhanced by the rich traces of the place's past (original old floors, vintage fifties tiling, beautiful molded doors, original vaulted ceiling… all perfectly preserved).
