Easy walk to everything downtown Cincinnati and to Newport Kentucky. Went to an event at Heritage Bank Arena. We were able to walk to the event. Parking was easy at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and very quiet. And the view from the room was very nice seeing the city and the lights at night.

Overall a good hotel to stay in. It was downtown close to just about everything - we walked to most things we did (other than the zoo), like to the Freedom Center, tours, restaurants, and the football game. Our room had no refrigerator or microwave, and only 1 trashcan in the bathroom. The HVAC was super-noisy, and the TV channels limited (and we couldn't cast to the screen from our phone or laptop). The chairs down in the breakfast area (and btw, the breakfast had plenty of options - well done!) had really worn out chairs that looked quite stained where you sat. Front desk was helpful and friendly, and printed our tickets for our return trip quite easily - which was a big help. Nice hotel, 4 out of 5 stars.

Unpleasant Experience
We were in Cincinnati for the weekend for the University of Cincinnati homecoming. Upon arriving to the hotel and checking into our room the first thing we noticed is that the sofa bed was missing second we noticed that the telephone was missing so using my cell phone I dialed the front desk. The front desk assured me there was nothing they could do and they would make sure that a manager was made aware of the situation this was on Friday night. Saturday afternoon I checked at the front desk again, I was informed that a manager had not been in so none of the issues have been resolved. At that time also our room was not checked and the beds were not made on that Saturday afternoon and the water was cold to shower and we had to run the water approximately 10 minutes before it even got warm. Sunday upon check out once again I asked about the manager and again I was told there was no manager available. I was given a managers name and number and still unable to reach her after returning home. We are very upset and disappointed with the stay and the nonresponse from the Hampton Inn management. I will give kids to the front desk staff who was very understanding and apologetic although their hands were tied in this situation. As a Hilton Honors member. we feel we are due some type of compensation. It was very unpleasant and disheartening. I hope to get some resolution soon.

No Hot Water!
Great room (901) overlooking the city, spacious. Our problem was there was NO HOT WATER on the day of checkout which means no ability for a shower. Got an apology and that's it.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing I’d recommend having the staff tell people when checking in is how to work the elevator when trying to get to their floor. When getting breakfast the kitchen staff were very informative and greeted you. The food was ok, the scrambled eggs were terrible. The overall room was great. I wish there was a mini fridge, which I thought was included in the room. I got about 3 hours of sleep the bed was terrible. When I was able to fall asleep the air conditioner turning on was loud and would wake me up. The doors to the rooms slammed shut so that also would wake me up. Then about 7 am kids started running up and down the halls and their parents yelling at them.

Everything was great except there wasn't much of anything left to eat at breakfast (which was the reason I book this one over the others) and couldn't get a late checkout. The place was really clean and the the room was very comfortable. Valet service was excellent.

Good and bad.
The stay was good the property was in a great location and the property looked great with a feel. Thats the upside the down side is my room was not clean at all. I get to the property late and just went to bed. I woke up and looked at my pillow cases air find red hair dye all over them. Then I look in the bathroom and it was a used razor and what looked to be shampoo in the shower. I called the front desk at 8:30am to report it and was told my room would be cleaned immediately but at 10:30pm my room still had not been touched. I’m really disappointed by my experience with the room.
