good small place between Cincinnati and Dayton
La premiere impression en arrivant est celle d'un petit motel, mais le confort et la proprete sont bien meilleurs Au petit dejeuné, dans une belle ancienne maison, il y a un buffet avec du choix, mais les assiettes et les couverts sont en plastiques The jardin est merveilleux point à ameliorer : l'air conditionnée qui est ancienne et bruyante, ainsi que la VMC dans la salle de bain qui fait un bruit infernalle. La piscine n'etait pas ouverte

We loved the comfortable beds, the Christmas decorations the friendly owner and the wonderful bread pudding! Thanks for looking for my lost satchel. I found it in my knitting bag! Hope to come back next year.

Great property !
The room was extremely clean. Plenty of pillows, bed was comfortable. They offered a complimentary breakfast in a historical home on the property. There were traditional dining room tables with linens, nice variety of food and displayed with incredible detail. The breakfast environment was fantastic and the food was delightful.

Not as described. This place is very run-down. Our room was in desperate need of multiple repairs. One being, in the early morning hours right as the sun was rising, I needed to use the bathroom. In order to not wake up my family, I used my phone flashlight. While in the bathroom I noticed that I could see the sun shining on the back side of the tub surround. The heat ran all night long regardless of the setting. It was 20 degrees outside and we had to open the door at one point because of how hot the room was. I would’ve called for help but the only one working was a very sweet old lady that used a walker to get around. Also, the deadbolt didn’t work for our room. Just the lock in the handle. If you’re looking at this place as an option for you and your family, you should check somewhere else first. It’s good when you’re in a pinch but not a first option for sure.

This is an old hotel and it shows. Front lobby was jammed full of junk and the doors were locked when I arrived. After rattling the doors for a while, I was about to leave when the owner? Check in person? Tottered up to the door and unlocked it. The room was clean but TV is hopelessly blurry, everything looked dated from 1968. Shower stall had damage. Rooms have only outside access. Breakfast was decent but their milk had gone bad. I have no idea how this place got 9.6 rating, hopefully a few reviews will bring it down to 5 where it belongs.

Comfortable hotel in a quiet area.
The room was clean and comfortable. There was a table/desk and two chairs with it. There was a fast internet connection and cable TV with access to Prime and Netflix. The breakfast was better than most chain restaurants with a good selection of items to choose from.

The hotel may look like a basic mid-century motel, but that is only the surface. The rooms are incredibly well maintained and are hospital clean. The grounds are immaculately groomed with vast gardens and a short nature trail. The highlight is the renovated 1700s house that serves as the dining room for breakfast. The breakfast is laid out in a high tea style, with table scapes at the various stations around the room. The house is decorated with antiques and the characters of the original construction is present. This is a place that shouldn't exist, but it does. You should stay there, even for one night.

This inn superceded my expectations! It reminds me of what a perfect sleepover at Grandma's house should be. Sure, the decor is from another time period, but it's also not dated. VERY CLEAN, even in the cute farmhouse where breakfast is served! The area felt inviting, parking lot was lit I felt very safe (arriving shortly before midnight) the sweet lady who runs the place, has done an incredible job with the place. I live about an hour and half away in Kentucky, but it left such an impression on us we plan to stay a weekend sometime, just because! Also, if you have time, walk the little pathway next to the gazebo outside of the farmhouse. It was so delightful!

This was a unique quaint hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent as well as the atmosphere of the century old house that it was served in. There is an awesome park right across the street with paved wooded trails for biking, walking or running.

Located in a nice, quiet area. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. A/C unit worked great during our extremely hot summer stay. We pulled up and realized it was a motel, we didn't have much hope that it was going to be a very nice stay. Boy were we wrong! Yes it's a motel but I've never been in such a meticulously clean place, you register on a card just like an old school model from years ago. The service was outstanding, the ladies running it were so so sweet and accommodating and made sure I knew that they're available all night if we needed anything at all. They also let us know where we could find drinks and snacks. The pool was clean and fun, the entire atmosphere was charming, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast (they had everything!!) was in a building just steps behind the motel, you reached it by a flower lined walk. They also had a peaceful seating area and a fire pit for visiting with friends. We couldn't have asked for anything more and will definitely be staying here every time we go to Kings Island.

Kirkwood Inn is off the beaten path, and affordable. Hosted in a quaint separate building surrounded by gardens, a delicious breakfast is served. The staff is kind and helpful.

Lovely place with great location
Great location within 10 minutes of Kings Island and right by an alternate route to the park to avoid some of the traffic. Amazing breakfast with lots of options in a separate old house with tons of charm just across the parking lot. Lovely gardens and patio seating on the property. A great breakup from the typical hotel chain. Warm comforter on the bed. Quiet and clean room. The outdoor pool was not heated but the kids were happy it went to 10 foot depth. We enjoyed chatting with the owner at the front desk and petting her sweet dog. It was a lovely stay!
