We spend a night at The Blue hotel. The design and exterior lighting brings mystic feeling. Once we entered the facility, we immediately noticed that an overwhelmed artificial scent which came from a device at the front door. It gave me nausea and dizziness. The service at the reception desk was good and smooth. Room was spacious for the king size bet room, and it was good for the price. Thankfully, the room was free from the artificial scent. If it was, I probably changed the hotel. A main reason why I chosen this hotel is that there was a bathtub. Many hotels doesn't offer bathtub anymore, but I can't live without it.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and extremely comfortable. Coffee offerings were very good. Some aspects of our room were in need of a deep cleaning, including multiple stains on the carpet and a splattering of something across the back of the door and the wall. Areas of common areas also needed attention.

I chose this property over less expensive, well-known hotels because it was rated high. Depending on what you are looking for, it might be fine for you. It is quiet, the sheets smell wonderful, and the staff is very nice. As for the hotel itself, it is an old facility with freshly painted popcorn walls, dusty lights, and a little dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The shower was strong, and the refrigerator was so cold that it froze our beverages. Breakfast was fine - yogurt, bagels, cream cheese, premade omelets, apples, muffins, juice, and a nice coffee machine. I did not find value in staying at this hotel, and I would choose a different facility next time.

a blue gem!
The blu hotel was an awesome hotel experience. The property is clean and well maintained and nicely decorated. It smells clean all throughout the hotel too. The breakfast was very nice. Options included veggie omelets, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, fresh waffles, milk, yogurt, bagels and muffins and toast, juices and coffee drinks in many varieties. There was also fresh fruit. Everything was good. There was a pool but it was closed due to weather. Our king size suite was comfortable spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. Also, it's less than 15 minutes driving to Kings Island.

The pictures have to be from when they first opened, because it is very outdated. You can tell that it hasn’t been worked in or updated in years. When I arrived to the room, a giant roach was in the bathroom. The toilet wouldn’t flush. Ended up leaving and requesting a refund due to the false advertisement and roach. If booking this hotel, don’t expect what you see in the beautiful pictures. Expect worn down walls, signage, elevator that is quite sketch and possibly a roach that is so big it looks like it had lived there since the building was built.
