Introduction

Casa Calandra is a beautifully architecturally designed modern 4 bedroomed, 3 bathroom villa located midway between the lovely historic towns of Ostuni and Cisternino the hills af the Valle d' Itria. A fantastic private swimming pool and gardens which overlook the extensive private grounds of terraced drystone walls and olive trees falling away from its hilltop setting with its views across the valleys beyond. A beautiful stunning house which accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 double bedrooms, with an additional sofa bed increasing sleeping capacity to 10. 

You will arrive at Casa Calandra with access through the grand entrance into the upper floor. Here you will find a spacious open plan living area which provides the lounge, dining room, and kitchen. Sliding floor to ceiling folding french doors lead onto the terrace which wraps around the whole of this floor The house is very well equipped with everything guests may need; from the kitchen utensils, crockery, books, DVD's and games. All linens are provided including bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and beach towels. A welcome pack is provided for arrival which includes basic food items, milk, tea coffee and wine. The house is centrally heated together with a wood burning stove in the living area for the cooler months, Roof mounted solar panels provide hot water.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

There are 4 Bedrooms; two located on the upper floor accessed through a stone archway adjacent to the entrance; one with a king sized bed and the second with large bunk beds which can easily accommodate adults as well as children. They both have built in wardrobes. There is a shared bathroom provided for these two bedrooms. Turn right out of the bedrooms to a staircase which leads to the lower floor where two further large well-appointed extremely spacious bedrooms are located both having the benefit of en-suite bathrooms where you will find shower, toilet, bidet, vanity top basin, with one of the bathrooms also providing a full-sized bath.

These 2 bedrooms have large walk-in wardrobes and have full height patio doors which let in fantastic light, and provide access to the adjacent private pool and a further dining terrace with views to the hills beyond.
At this lower level is also located a Utility Room with a washing machine large sink, ironing board, hair dryer and a drying rack to take advantage of the huge capacity hot water cylinder

Puglia - Surrounding Countryside:

Our villa is ideally situated for easy exploration of Puglia, and the countryside of the Valle d'Itria with easy access to other beautiful hill towns/villages of Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica and Locorotondo which are only a short drive away.  The World UNESCO site of Alberobello is only a 35 km drive through the rolling countryside of the Apulian hills.

Beaches

The coast is only 30 minute drive away where there are are numerous sandy beaches and beach combing opportunities to discover; from unspoilt white sand stretches to secluded coves; many with lido facilities of loungers, parasols and shaded parking together with restaurants beach bars, and clubs. Here's a sampling: Lido Bizzaro, Torre Canne, Torre Guaceto, Villanova, Torre Pozella, Costa Merlata, Pilone, Boscoe Verde.
