The Space
The Old Farmhouse is built for two guests, with all you need to create your ultimate cosy getaway in Pembrokeshire. Located in New Moat, you couldn't be more central to all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. It's a short drive to the Preseli mountains, a scenic drive to any of Pembrokeshire's 180km coastline, and a 5 min trip to Llys-y-Fran reservoir with newly built off-road bike trails and paddleboarding, cafe and activity centre.
You enter the cottage into the fully equipped kitchen and open plan dining and living area. The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay; rustle up a hearty supper or relaxed breakfast and enjoy your meal at the dining table together.
The living space has a cosy log burner for a relaxed night in with a good book or your favourite Netflix box-set. There's plenty of room for working on a laptop if you need to stay connected during your visit with Wifi throughout.
Heading along the oak corridor, you'll find ample storage for coats, boots and bags. Turn to the right to step into the spacious and modern bathroom with walk-in shower.
At the far end of the cottage, you will find the master bedroom with a super comfortable Super King bed. The bedroom has plenty of storage and is beautifully presented with a touch of Welsh Luxury.
The garden wraps around the front of the Old Farmhouse, providing sun throughout the day and plenty of space for pets to run around. The outdoor space also includes the dining set, BBQ and private off-road parking for one car.

The Old Farmhouse is set in a peaceful courtyard, sharing the driveway access to 1 other cottage and the main farmhouse.
The farm is situated in the centre of New Moat, a small parish that derives its name from an artificial mount, built opposite the church, that is entirely surrounded by a deep moat.
New Moat is one of the most central locations in Pembrokeshire. The cottage is surrounded by fantastic hiking and biking trails and just a short distance from the spectacular Preseli hills and within driving distance of Pembrokeshire best towns and tourist spots.
These are some of our favourite days out from The Old Farmhouse:
Llys-Y-Fran Resevouir: Recently redeveloped, the reservoir and surrounding countryside and trails are free to enter. There are newly built biking trails with something for every type of cyclist. The centre also offers a range of outdoor activities, including open water swimming and paddleboarding. If you work up an appetite, there's a new cafe and outdoor seating area on site too.
The Preselli's: The spectacular hill (or mountain, if you're local) range offers panoramic views across Pembrokeshire and the coast. For a longer stroll right across the spine of the Preseli Hills try The Golden Road. At 8 miles, it was the main route for travellers in prehistory to and from Ireland. We recommend parking up at Rosebush and taking any one of the many trails to the peaks. On the way back, enjoy some wild swimming in the quarry or stop off at Tafarn Sinc for a unique pub experience in the community-owned local.
Cycling: The road and off-road cycling in the area is superb. We recommend trying the route from The Old Farmhouse to Crymych, returning via the steep Bwlch y Gwynt climb with stunning views across the Preselis. If that sounds like too much hard work, a 10 minute spin up to Maenclochog will get you to the quaint Caff'ir Sgwar - a little team room offering great coffee, cake, breakfasts and lunches.
Towns: 20 minutes to the south, you will find Narberth, a small town with a range of independent shops, cafe's and restaurants. Driving a little further towards the coast brings you to the harbour town of Tenby. Exploring the south coast, Saundersfoot, Manorbier, Marloes and Freshwater are all worth visiting with dramatic coastal views and great walking options.
30 minutes west of New Moat is St Davids, Europes' smallest city. The Cathedral and bishops palace are well worth a visit. The city centre has a handful of shops and restaurants and also the booking office for boat trips that visit the local islands and nature reserves.
A 25 minute drive to the north brings you to Newport. This artists' haunt brings you whole food shopping, co-operative art, street cafés and some of the best fine-dining restaurants Pembrokeshire has to offer. It's flanked by mountains, an estuary and vast beach. There's plenty to do, whatever the weather.
To make the most of Pembrokeshire, we recommend you have access to a car during your stay. There is plenty of parking space directly outside the cottage.
