Cozy cabin overlooking private lake with mountain views. Covered front porch for sitting and taking in the nature. Take an easy stroll down to the lake to feed the ducks or geese. The lake can be fished but it’s catch and release only. The lake is not for swimming. Easy access off of Hwy 441 no steep mountain roads.
Minutes to Clayton's downtown shopping, restaurants, Black Rock State Park, The Dillard House...
Scaly Mountain and Highlands, NC are just a short drive away

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming cabin for two nights, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The space is clean, cozy, and incredibly well-appointed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to make your stay comfortable.The bed was wonderfully comfortable, ensuring we woke up rested and ready to enjoy our days. The cabin is also well-insulated from outside noise, so it felt like our own peaceful retreat. We loved spending time on the deck, taking in the beautiful views—a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wine.The linens were fresh and inviting, the towels were soft, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic, with plenty of hot water to unwind after a day of hiking. The location couldn’t have been better—ideal for outdoor adventures, relaxing, or a romantic getaway.Lastly, the host’s communication was excellent. Everything went smoothly, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and serenity. We can't wait to return!

This was EXACTLY what my family needed for a little weekend away. We couldn’t figure out how to turn the shower on lol — but Angie was super helpful and — for the record — you pinch down where the water comes out and pull. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

Super Cute and Great Location
We had a weekend stay here for our anniversary. The location is nice and cute with a nice view of the lake. We especially loved the back deck and the friendly chickens around the property. The listing is very close to downtown Clayton(driving) and other attractions in the area. We were never more than 15-20 minutes away from good hiking spots and were able to hit up two hikes in one day with a stop at the cabin for an afternoon nap.

The hosts were very friendly and communicated well. The directions given by the host were very clear. The cabin was cute and cozy and had everything we needed. The view was beautiful overlooking the lake. I would recommend and would stay here again.

Great place in the woods.
Great little cabin in the woods, overlooks a small lake. Close to town to get your groceries. Great location for area attractions. We used as base camp to go Zip Lining, White Water Rafting, Mountain Roller Coster, and Hiking. Very well equipped for cooking. Cabin appears to be recently built so very new. Was perfect for our stay.

Perfect Weekend!
We enjoyed our stay so much! We were looking for a weekend getaway and this was so relaxing. We really enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the lake. We spent our day hiking and visiting antique shops. Our evenings were spent out in the balcony again playing card games. We loved our short time there and will book again.

Nice and cozy
This is second time I visited this cozy, beautiful cabin. Amazing view, we had everything we needed to stay. The only one discomfort, the shower head is not working, but hot bath is available. The owner is very nice and caring; a lot of places to see around that area. It's always pleasant place to stay
