Visit the old town of Ronald, built in the late1880's just after No. 3 coal mine opened. The town was a supply center for miners and families. Minutes away from quaint Roslyn/Cle Elum, plus all the areas recreational activities, such as hiking, fishing, snow sports and more.
This home has all the cozy amenities that you will need for a fun vacation stay. The open floor plan has the LR, kitchen and dining area all in the main room. The primary bedroom has a small fort like loft on top for a child to play or sleep above their parents. The loft ladder pulls out for use & goes up against the wall, out of the way, when not in use. Another bedroom is accessed via a pull down "ladder" in the hallway. This ladder holds a total weight of 250 pounds. The upstairs has a desk for work, and is quite roomy except for the A-frame ceiling. Watch your head in some spots! You can gently close the ladder to keep heat focused to the lower level in winter.
The living room sofa bed can be made into a queen size with mattress topper in couch storage and linens on hall shelf. Extra accent pillows from the couch, can be stored in the basket coffee table. Every inch of space is thought of for its use in a tiny space!
There is under cabinet lighting for the tiny kitchen & hallway shelf. There are mood setting candles above the kitchen counter. Lighting can be accessed with the remotes. Please turn (both) off when not in use.
There is a BBQ, corn hole & an outdoor fire pit & marshmallow skewers for spring, summer enjoyment. Currently 2 bikes in the shed.
The washer/dryer is in the hallway and bathroom at the end of the hall. Several upgrades have been made, while keeping the charm of old. There is a newer refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, iron, etc.
You can still imagine how miners lived back in the day.
There is a good sized fenced front yard. But do keep an eye on your pets as cars do go by in the street. The speed limit is 25 MPH. Ronald is so close to the forest, there has been deer and bear sightings in town. Deer & a bear have hopped the fence to eat plums!
A trail just minutes walking distance, around the back of the fire station is a great place to ride your bikes, take your dog for a walk & can take you past Roslyn to Cle Elum! Watch out for loose neighboring dogs. Speelyi Beach is also just minutes away by car, towards Old #3. Drive right onto the beach for parking! Easy to find with GPS Maps. (See captions under photos). Walk in the alley to old #3.
The kitchen is fully stocked, with everything you need. The toaster, toaster oven and microwave are in the hall. There is a start up supply of TP, paper towels, trash bags etc. Should be enough to last a weekend! Longer stays may need to bring or shop in town.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate, we try to keep in stock or bring your own favorites. Many ways to make it. There is a coffee grinder, a French press and a coffee maker. Small town grocery in each town or a Safeway in Cle Elum is a great way to stock up on essentials. Please leave some coffee for the next guest. We don't always have a way to keep it stocked.
There is Wi-Fi and ROKU tv for free shows or your streaming apps. Just enter your departure dates (as a guest) and it will automatically sign out on that day!
