Wonderful theme of Churchill reflected all around, even in the bar. Great location. Room good enough but bathroom was not great - tiny corner unit, toilet weak to flush, shower not staying in place etc. Having said that, it's an old heritage hotel so something to accept. Great bar food and nice they supply playing cards for some fun. Overall quite good stay

This stunning hotel is really convenient if visiting the beautiful city of York, just outside Bootham bar. Stunning period rooms and a great welcome, friendly staff. Loved it!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely decorated and spotless. The hotel was only a 15 minute walk from the city centre so the location was great.

Beautiful building, some beautiful original features, ‘modern’ decor lets it down (my opinion), room was large, bed was comfortable, had all needed items tv, kettle , iron , and welcome items etc… tired carpet though , tired furniture, shower functionality awful, also car parking charged @ £18 per day, I was never informed of any charges was just taken off my card without my knowledge . (Clementine suite )
