The property was very unique. Like being in the jungle! The dining and Starbucks were great! We rode the bikes into town. Everyone was very helpful, kind and accommodating.
It was a beautiful oasis and very quiet. The food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. It was so easy to get around the Coba area for daytrips to various sites to visit.
For those wishing to explore Coba before the crowds arrive, this is an ideal place to spend the night. The staff were wonderful, the hotel itself is set in a beautifully landscaped setting and the food was good. They even serve Starbuck's coffee--a nice suprise, especially when you are starting your day off early to see the ruins.
We love this place, starbucks coffe inside the hotel, close to Coba's piramides, excelent restaurant as well, beautifull room surrounded by forest. An ancient Mayan road (SAC BE) is in the back yard of this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a good location, within walking distance or a short taxi ride to many things downtown. In particular we loved the terrace which was a great place to relax.
It is worth travelling to Coba simply to stay in this peaceful exceptionally delicious retreat with well designed spacious rooms in this private sylvan setting with discreetly designed long pool feature and casually elegant patios and dining spaces. Highest recommendations!
The Aldea Coba is a unique and well cared for escape. The property offers a sophisticated vibe with a natural jungle environment. The pool was a delightful refresh from a hot Yucatan day. The restaurant did not disappoint with creations carefully prepared featuring local cuisine, delicious! The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend and would certainly visit again during our next adventure through the Yucatan. Thank you Aldea Coba staff!
Lovely oasis 5 minutes drive to the magnificent Coba Mayan ruins. Peaceful, large room with its own plunge pool and huge rain shower which can be opened to the private jungled garden of the room. Very friendly staff and great onsite restaurant!
Stain and blood on the sheet. The pool were dirty. Staffs and manager are rude. Do Not Stay!!
When you have issue, they don’t want to help you, the manager will tell the front desk that he’s on vacation.
Not Recommended!!!
Mold!! Mold!! Mold!!
Unbelievable!
Please check the mattress protector and pillow inserts as soon as you check into the room. We found green and black mold on the mattress protector, pillow inserts and on all window curtains. The room/villa is a mold extravaganza.
We noticed numerous blood stains on the mattress protector, pillow cases, the flat sheet and one pool towel. Some blood is dark red and some is bright red. It seems that past guests had a tendency to spill blood when sleeping in bed and when lounging by the pool. What has happened here?
All pillows have an overpowering smell of sour sweat, all pillow inserts have large yellow circles of sweat stains. The sheets (flat and fitted) have the same disgusting smell.
The young men who work there are friendly and we did get “new” pillows and a new mattress protector. Everything still smells like sour sweat and there are blood stains on the top side of the flat sheet, where it may touch my lips and face. I spent two nights sleeping on a stack of my own clothes without any sheet covering.
I still cannot stop thinking about those blood stains. Not just a few but many. what has happened in this room or at this hotel? I feel we’ve narrowly escaped something sinister there.
The private pool is dirty with fallen leaves and dead big bodies. I also found a piece of disinfectant wipe.
For close to $300 per night, this is a huge disappointment. The conditions of the room are inexcusable.
Little hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Very modern and completely hidden in jungle. A treat.

Liked: Staff & service
We really enjoyed the privacy and intimacy of the place. We got to know the workers really well especially Juan Luis and Mauricio. They provided us with great customer service and the premises where clean and we were surrounded with beautiful vegetation. We will definitely be back. This a good location and it’s pretty central to other small towns we visited. I don’t recommend this place for children.
